The Bill is to not allow geocaching only in certain places (or I misread it): TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 16-17-605 SO AS TO DEFINE THE TERMS "GEOCACHE", "GEOCACHING", AND "LETTERBOXING", TO PROVIDE THAT IT IS UNLAWFUL TO ENGAGE IN GEOCACHING OR LETTERBOXING IN CEMETERIES, ARCHEOLOGICAL SITES, OR ON THE HISTORIC PROPERTIES OF THE STATE, AND TO PROVIDE A PENALTY. It appears that it will only make it illegal in Cemeteries, Archeological Sites or on Historic Properties of the State. I can understand those restrictions, but I did not read they were outlawing geocaching. Other's view?

As far as I know, they haven't banned the promoting of Geocaching by anyone yet...

Ok, I have started working on some ideas for a Florida Geocoin. Any talented geocachers can post or forward me their ideas as well. I grew up in Florida and wanted to get a coin going for the state. You can e-mail me at foster33@sbcglobal.net with ideas and I will post my own starting ideas when I get a chance. My front idea was the shape of the state with some color and text, back ideas included the space shuttle, everglades, a gator or maybe a Seminole indian (not pushing any football teams, just things the state is known for).

Ok, since nobody (except those wanting to order) is going anywhere on this, I will take it. Please send any design ideas to me at foster33@sbcglobal.net and after a few design and modifications are done, I will post the results for voting on the final design.

No, the one that has WAAS is not actually an eTrex yellow. It is a different model that happens to be yellow. It has a different name.

This was a Christmas present, so I have opened the box (didn't want to appear unthankful!). I had already purchased one before Christmas and I kept this one for a backup, but I don't see me ever needing a second unit. So, I have a new Etrex Yellow for sale in an open box and with batteries. Trying to finish up my design for my coin. I have the front complete (there will be text on it). The back was going to be a compass with text, any other ideas out there for the back?

I don't live in SC, but I can start it if you like. I am doing my own coin now and have talked with most of the major companies. If nobody wants to do it, I will get them made and sell them. Best thing for design is to start a thread and put the ideas out there. Many talented people in the GC arena and they do some good drawings as well. Let me know.
