  1. I am female, but my husband cooks more than I do! he would be pleased to find such as well. Great idea!
  2. First, I agree with Criminal about the corporate property, Like what about SuperSize it! by TT? That is a great cache, very challenging. And Torry and I must think alike, or read the same threads I was going to suggest at least three of those myself, and the other I figured he would have thought of hehehheehehheeee
  3. Hi OCBTracker et.al. I am sorry to say that we went looking for this today, only to come up empty. Pretty sure we were dead on, as we saw a likely pile of sticks and grass (oh so neatly placed) But, there was nothing underneath... It looks like it might have been mowed, and there evidence of some drinking happening recently. ps. so sorry for the back to back postings, but I didn't want to mix them together.
  4. Hi CorysMom!!! I'd help, *wave* But only if you could find the Perfect area for it (like that Palm Springs one!) hehehhehehee, and the hides could be fun and clever camo ones. Corysmom is a very nice lady, and I really like what she says above. It might irk me sometimes, if an area just seems too dense with caches, but c'est la vie. Others will enjoy it, especially some of the little ones. I could care less about numbers, so who cares if someone uses it to up their find count. People posting their find count in logs probably irritates me more than power cache trails. I mean really, what is that all about? Had a great time up in Bonsall today, just the right amount of hills combined with easier hikes. Namaste
  5. I once had a DNF deleted, but it was after the cache was replaced, and my DNF really was just a note that It appeared to have gone missing. No biggie. Now, if it was a note more like yours, I would wonder. Just email and ask. What is the worst they can do, re-delete the log? ps. Happy Fourth! AND Happy Tibet Day!
  6. it may not be about the numbers, but numbers can still be fun.
  7. That is indeed an excellent example of exemplary customer service. hehehee, lots of Xs. I like Xs. Thank you Groundspeak peoples!
  8. I think this is post 197/81 hides... drumroll please..... 2.4320987654320987654320987654321 I kid you not. Me thinks it repeats, although the calculator stopped there. heheheeheeee I just love math, don't you?
  9. I sent an email too... Escondido likes Yellow Jeeps.
  10. oohoooh , My husband and I will be visiting his family in Scotland in July....wheeeee. I don't think we would have a lot of extra time, but we are bringing some travel bugs over. We will be in Fraserbourgh near Aberdeen, but will be traveling up to Orkney, at some point. I can't wait to see the hides over there. I will have to track this thread, for good ideas.
  11. try contacting Gracie1965, seems to be a friend of his. from his profile anyhow.
  12. There are plenty of non-geocaching forums out there. For example, any one of you could start a Yahoo group for this same purpose, or host a PHP forum of your own, on a server to have this. Otherwise, I feel there really is no need for an OT forum, and yeah, I still think the thread was appropriately closed (wanting to stay on topic at least a little)
  13. Hehehee, I didn't take it that way really. I don't really care too much. I do think it is surprising also, and a little appalling. thanks! Oh, and I actually took the Kiersey with a shrink, fun fun. and yeah, the thing about the word was in response to GentleWind. namaste
  14. Thorin. I do read things without offense for the most part. Being Buddhist helps a lot with that. In fact I listen to Dharma talks a lot while i write code. The opinion you decided to chop apart above, is based on looking at it from a technical point of view. It is completely possible for many many people to take his statements exactly as I characterized it, or close. Many people have said as much. regard it as thinking aloud, as if I was a mod...I would have closed it too, for the reasons I stated. I was trying to stay on topic for this thread, as requested by admins. soooo, rather than chopping and analyzing my opinion and trying to tell me what is and how it is, just trust that I already know, please. thanks. No, insultory is NOT an English word. and I am an INTP thorin.
  15. How is talking about threads in the forum, discussing geoCaching? Please explain to me. ALso, why not talk to admins privately? I think your post was a little insulting. The word deficient and this phrase, "since to know any more would require thumbing through pages of posts." both give a connotation of a superior looking down on others. People are different, but you don't have to use such loaded ways of pointing it out. I did read what you wrote, but your poor judgment in word choice still is offensive. Get over it. It doesn't make you a bad person. I for one agree with the closing of that thread. And I think that you should look at yourself, rather than telling everyone else what to do. Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to say, MH put it best! so, that is why I am not being all sunshine and happy. It seems like although people say nice things about saying nice things, the people who really need to listen, just don't seem to hear it.
  16. On some sort of pulley across a canyon that ONLY has a rushing river at the bottom. Coords planting it smack in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the river.
  17. Regardless of phrasing this a bit off, This is funny. I am ADHD, yeah, whatever, I did well in school. I don't have any filters in my brain. I consider it just a different method of brain functioning, of which there are multitude. I don't find AS extremely stimulating, although it is fun from time to time. I more enjoy jumping about between threads With well developed topics, because I enjoy the depth, as well as the breadth. ps. this is not to say that there is no depth in AS, please don't think that. I believe there is, but it is a different type of depth. edited to add: oh, I sorta think that this thread is technically OT, as are the other numerous threads with the similar topic that keep cropping up. Is there a Meta-Forum, to discuss the forum. Hmmm....sounds like the Moderators forum. Is there a way to open a thread or two there? Or make a Meta-Forum here??
  18. SQL Gremlins!!! we have them too!
  19. Hi, I don't have any expectations to settle up with really. But I do like that post of yours, it shows one of my common points, that good and bad really is inside your head. Check out the book The Diamond Cutter, it is full of info on the same. mindfulness can be a constant effort at first, but it is sooo worth it. edited to add: oh, another fave is Choosing Reality. Excellent mix of physics and philosophy.
  20. Yes, I believe another size attribute would be very useful. maybe call it small rather than mini? is there a perfect name? The hunt for the perfect value can be fun.
  21. I don't know, I just can't eat cold pizza....is it a guy/chick thing??
  22. maybe people just aren't interested. Maybe I should start a thread called....BIG GROUP HUG or Kick your Neighbor, new virtual.... hehhehee...no really, come up with a spectacular Positive subject that will get soooo many views, I think that would be fun. I was personally just a little fed up with the enormous number of negative posts....that just sucks. And Dream Alchemist has a great point. Users are Much more likely to track a controversial issue driven topic, and to view it more frequently, even when not posting to it. I know I read it even after I choose not to say anything more. (well, except the thing about sneetchs) Edited to add: Oh, and I am not hurt, I couldn't care less. I was jazzed to get a little red envelope, but the reason is an odd one. Anyhow, I don't think that was the intention of this thread, I think it was an interesting observation. and I don't think it needs to be surprising to be interesting or worthy of note RK.
  23. this is how we refer to it in our household, I don't mind finding out if it is mini or micro until I find it. Of course, knowing is useful, but the difference is trivial for me. At least so far!
  24. hehehee, I usually use Fast Reply, so it took me a minute... did help break me out of my sulk though! Sometimes, being the only female engineer in a department of 10 of us, REALLY SUX!!! There I said it! sigh. Anyhow, I am the senior employee as far as length of employment in the company, other than the Board that is. You would think it would count for something. Fortunately, ani frogs saved the day, and now I am happy again. and ready!
  25. I like your funny chicken avatar. It makes me smile.
