  1. Over the years.. I have a total of 8 TB and all were taken from cache sites... some of then were able to travel few times... but the rest just went AWOL. I contacted each of the last person who took it and they never responded. It seems that some people just doesn't understand how a TB purpose. They just kept them. One or two actually moved it but somebody else took them out but never reported. So I still have many TB tags that I kept on hand and still thinking if I should use them or not.
  2. oh, if you like the evil side.. try this movie: SESSION 9 (David Carusso) Its a must see movie...
  3. Have anyone saw the movie -> "WOLF CREEK" You have to be careful in going out for Geocaching by yourself. Bring a partner and let someone know where you planning to go. Check this out: Wolf Creek review Another Wolf Creek reviews Wolf Creek is a film of the horror/slasher variety, a genre for which we have no affection or respect. That said, the film takes full visual advantage of the physical beauty of its setting in the Australian outback. Wolf Creek is sort-of based on several actual crime events in Australia, including the Hume Highway backpack murders and the more recent Falconio case. (The film could not be released in the Northern Territory until after the recent trial of Peter Falconio’s murderer, Bradley John Murdoch, on the grounds it could affect Murdoch’s chances of getting a fair trial. Murdoch was convicted.)
  4. No problem. You just seemed to be getting into some LEGAL argument with someone when it did not apply. Again, I'm missing where he "attacked" you personally. Which post was it? All I see what I said before: someone saying what scammers tend to do. I don't see anyone attacking you personally or calling you a "scammer" -- but I do see you accusing them of such. Actually, no, I didn't say that at all. You appear to have a problem putting words into people's mouths that they clearly didn't say. What I said was that there is no libel case HERE -- meaning in this thread. No one said anything that would qualify as libelous here. I simply said that there was no legal case here as you seemed to be indicating. So, please stop putting words into people's mouths and then telling us to do some research (which you've told me to do TWICE now). I'm not the one that needs it. - John... John.... Do you really have to flame me?? Did I said anything bad about you? That's why I asked if you have a problem in the first place. Yes, you are right, not here and not this one. That's why I said it's on other thread. If you missed tha action bewteen me and the other person.. you are free to search around. but I don't wish to refer to that link directly. See the thread above this and get the feel.. look at the name of the writer. I was selling my GPS in another forum and he post and said that I'm a SCAMMER... now, how would you feel about that?? Don't tell me that you won't respond? I came to this thread to explain to "ctballos" of things around here and then he came back again specifically quoting just me.. To set the record straight... I'm NOT putting words into anyone's mouth.. mind you for that. So DON'T ever tell me that I have the problem. SO STOP quoting me here and there... alright. - - YOU are the one who said that I have no understanding about the Libel laws in the first place.. Thats the problem, you are not being specific on things and then you telling me that I have no understanding about things. And also, you've said that I told you to do research TWICE?? Where? Hello, I only mentioned it once when I responded to your Quotes. Like I said... it's not about you and anyone else here except one person. understand? lets drop it... will you... ...
  5. Er.. John... what is your problem?? I'm not referring to anybody else in this forum. I respect everyone's opinion around here. Let me give you some background.. Look back to my post and see who am I addressing the issue at... Did your name came up on it?? Read and understand first please... That person has personal issues against me from other forum. I was trying to explain matters to ctballos. He came and Quoted me again and this has nothing to do with ctballos or anybody here in the first place. So what will you do if someone attacks you personally? Will you just sit down and be quiet? Now did you say there's no LIBEL cases in the United States in the past? Well, do some research for yourself... ==> http://usinfo.state.gov/products/pubs/press/press08.htm Electronic forum is considered as media....
  6. That is a tactic used by scammers on potential buyers to lull them into a false feeling that they are getting a good deal. If you want to be an honest trustworthy seller you would state a CURRENT price at a reputable dealer and provide a link if online. You as a buyer will do yourself some research and others would give advise. Like you said, internet is available to everyone. Why don't you do the research. If you don't like the price he is offering, don't bother or simply just tell them this is how it should be. Some people really does have difficulty understanding for a very simple matter... Making "FALSE ACCUSATIONS" is againts the law. I suggest that you check this with your lawyer and you have to think twice even before you open your mouth. ACCUSING people for being a scammer is a matter that you have to take it seriously. That's why the seller said "Give Him An Offer". Get it?? Is that hard to understand? Did anybody have withnessed that this seller here tries to lull people to cheat on a buyer? Is the seller here twisting anyone's arm? Is the seller here threatening and forcing anyone into buying his stuff? Where is your proof?? Now, try to take this is to court, it will definitely slap you back and you will be sued for LIBEL. Well, some people are just around to mess other people's life but they are NOT a real potential buyer. They are here to just to criticize and that's how they really are... -
  7. At least people here are all educated. Not like one of my attacker (in other thread) who accused me of ripping other people when I simply referenced the original price that I paid for a GPS unit. People here are just trying to say "hey, we like the package, but please lower your price". Usually I would say this is so and so price that I paid, please give me an offer and this is what I paid originally. And you get attacked from left to right... Oh well... I guess we humans are just as inhumane as the animal kingdom....
  8. I sold my Explorist 600 and I dont need the software anymore. This is the US Version of DirectRoute. The package comes in its original box, with all the manuals and both CDs (which are 100% scratch free). The software sells for $100 on Amazon or www.JR.com, I am just selling it for $75(free shipping). I only accept paypal for payment. Email or PM me if you are interested or you have any more questions. kindly cc me at "tanc@hra.nyc.gov" thanks all.
  9. Go for the 600 with bells and whistle. or at least the 500.
  10. Go to ebay.com I see that some are only selling as low as $15.00! Brand news one are only $49.95. Great deal...
  11. oops... forgot to mention that this is the NORTH AMERICAN version.
  12. I have the original receipt with my purchase if need it.
  13. Please give me an offer. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks...
  14. I have the MAGELLAN MapSend DirectRoute CD. details ==> http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=3951973 That's the price I paid for. Give me an offer. I sold my eXplorist 600 and don't need the map software anymore. Let me know if you are interested.
  15. My friends are using the Garmin Rino SGP/FRS. They are happy with it because using a pair, you can tell where or how far is your partner while geocaching or on any event. You don't need to ask where are you...
  16. With my observation, when I load the Central / North NJ and Manhattan, NY detailed maps plus maybe around 300-400 Geocache Waypoints, it would take about 10-15s to load the screen.
  17. Jamie Z, I drive around a lot and sometimes really long drive and am afraid that if I ran out of battery juice, i'm done with it. But I guess it won't happen becuase sooner or later you have to stop somewhere and you probably be able to charge it up. But remember the eXplorist claim that each charge would last for 14hours. But if you are driving, you may wanted to turn on the backlight and it would only last for maybe 8-hours plus/minus. Its just probably me being a paranoia for if you see that battery bar so low, you'll get into a panic stage. Having extra battery on hand gives you the secure feeling.. you know what I mean... eXplorist extra battery will cost maybe about $30 depending where you buys them.
  18. Dot-com, I guess you can create a Cache page and indicate your lost GPS as a find. I'm pretty sure the're be tons of people will be searching the eXplorist 600. Just kidding... Nice talking to you...
  19. Dot-Com, Spoke to you this morning and sorry to hear about this too. I suggest that you attach a lanyard to the GPS as a security. Always expect the worse. More often than not, it is very rare that people would return the hi-tech toys back to the owner if found. But it is not impossible. Becuase just last year, I dropped my $400 worth of PDA and I thought the person who might foun it did not wish to return it to me. Man was I so embarrased, it turn out to be someone else found it and kept it for me (becuase I lost it on a friday). Came Monday, this guy hand me the PDA and I was so blessed. You never know, if someone finds it, they might contact you and you'll earn a new friend by that way. There's are no such insurance to cover that small amount, its like having a cellphone or PDA, if you loose it, just cross your finger that the person would kindly return it.
  20. The only thing you would consider with the eXplorist 500/600 is the color screen and SD card expansion capability. I just sold off mine becuase I have Garmin VistaC. Garmin VistaC is limited to the memory but I can easily use any regular or rechargeable AA batteries whereever I go. eXplorist street routing is not as good as the Garmin Vista (this is just my opinion, others may thing I'm wrong). Since I am not going far in between the places, the 25MB with Vista is enough. I had the eXplorist as a backup unit only until I needed cash so I sold it. The the eXplorist 400/500/600 has four page screens and the other are just sub-option from the screen. You can manage Geocache/Waypoints efficiently by just loading the waypoint-file. You can also load detailed maps by simply loading the ones that you need in the area. Thats the cool feature for it but nothing really fancy as compared to VistaC. I guess you cannot have it all. I hope this helps.
  21. Hello everyone again, For those intelligent people who are very kind replied to my offer. Sold it for a very low price with 256MB SD card and free shipping. I sold it accoring to your price suggestions. Regards to all! PS pardon me for being mad at that one simple minded person.
  22. einstein37, who has anger issues around here?! It is you who like to trash people because you have a size of a birdbrain and thats the problem behind it, boy! It is you who have to see a shrink.... like I said, who gave you the right to judge other people? tell me? You playing god now? haha. sorry for you little troll guy.. Who said I'm ripping people. You if you are what you said you are an "engineer", you should have to be intelligent enough by going to ==> http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4023851 Now may I REPEAT again! If you want proof, I will show you proof with the ORINIGAL RECEIPT that I paid for. Call me whatever, but I'm not ripping anyone as you are claiming. enough said and I have no time to deal people like you with so simple minded. Sorry for you boy.
