  3. Garmin did just post version 2.8.2 of the plug-in. The only claimed change is that it works with Snow Leopard, but it might be worth a try. http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3739
  4. You might also specify that Safari run in 32-bit mode rather than 64-bit. That seems to make a difference with the Garmin plugin.
  5. Follow the link in the first post, then follow the link to the WebUpdater. Download it and use it.

  10. All of the Garmin 60, 76, and eTrex series which use a microSD card have the option of saving the track log to the card as a .gpx file. That file can only be used by off-loading it to a computer, it is not viewable on the receiver.
  11. It hasn't been updated since 2005 and doesn't list quite a few things. It works fine on my Vista HCx. I suspect it will work on your Legend HCx also.
  12. Something worth noting is that when I updated my Venture Cx all the waypoint names got trashed. It was possible to delete them and reload from a MapSource backup, but would be rather annoying if they had not been backed up.

  14. The maps from talkytoaster do come as a .img file which is just copied to the card, but must be inside the Garmin folder. Create a folder if needed and carefully follow the instructions at http://sites.google.com/site/talkytoasteru...ree-uk-maps-faq
  15. Version 4.00 (I think) is available at: http://www.gawisp.com/perry/magellan/MAP%2...ard%20Software/

  17. On my 2610 cable there is one contact at the bottom, separated from the others by a small ridge. It is +12 volts. The next contact above it is the ground.
  18. No idea what it does, but for the brave of heart: http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3733 GPS Chipset Type M software version 2.90 as of August 6, 2009 http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3735 GPS Chipset Type M2 (Region File) software version 2.90 as of August 6, 2009 It does update the chipset on my Vista HCx.
  19. Paste N43 33'33.0" W106 04'27.5" into Google Earth and then consider where the error lies. My track log from driving that road many times usually follows the road as shown on the east side of the seam and tracks and waypoints on the west side are off by about 25 meters east and about 7 north of the Google Earth position. Probably both GE and my HCx are off, but in this area GE is my guess for the major part of the error. Your area may have similar problems.
