Sounds reasonable and appropriate. Thanks all for you input. I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens. I won't make too many, just a few to start, and see how things go. Setting it as collectible would also not allow it to be placed in geocaches and to accrue mileage.

Seems to me it could be very confusing. I retrieve one from a geocache. But I have to grab it from someone else. Now that other person wants to leave their copy in a geocache. But they no longer have the trackable in their inventory. If they are lucky, they can grab it back. If not they leave in a geocache for someone else to deal with. Very confusing for newby geocachers just learning about trackables.

You can delete the geocaches when plugged into your computer. Use Garmin BaseCamp to view and delete the geocaches on your gps.

Plug in GPS to computer using USB cable Open Basecamp. Once Basecamp reads your GPS, you can delete individual geocaches from the list

It would be nice to know which Garmin GPS unit you are using. If you don't know or can't find the model number, post a picture of it.

The SD card you are seeing is likely the adapter card for the micro SD card. The 64s only accepts micro SD cards in the card slot.

The blue frownie would have to replace the geocache type icon on the map. Then you wouldn't see the geocache type icon on the map. Would you need different DNF icons for each Geocache type?

I think I'd do the same thing. Archive it and also have it locked because it shows on 25 bookmark lists and will continue to get logged.

Seems by the pictures and logs posted there are two different logs to sign and possible two containers. The person that found it before you stated they placed a new 20 signature log. I think you did the right thing by posting a DNF and a NM. If it were me, I wouldn't even plan on returning to find it again. CO has made no effort to fix or replace the geocache. Log and/or container have been wet or broken for more than a year. Resist the urge to change to a found even if the CO contacts you to change your log since you found a log.
