  1. BaseCamp reads the SD card and allows the map to be shown in BaseCamp when your GPS is plugged in to USB. Seems like the map was correctly installed on the SD card. But you aren't seeing the map on your gps when you go into Setup/Map/Configure Maps. Is that correct? Note: I have the Oregon 650, so the 750 menu maybe different.
  2. Birdeye imagery can be uploaded to SD cards using BaseCamp. You just have to right click on the Imagery file and select Send To. Then select where you want to send the file. When you are creating your Birdseye file, do not check the box for "Copy imagery file to device after download" That is probably what you are doing. That method will always send the file to your device and not give you an option to send to an SD card.
  3. Might be best to ask your question on the FTF Geocacher Magazine website http://www.ftfgeocacher.com/
  4. If you retrieved a trackable and then it was made collectible, the only options are Write Note and Move to Collection. Once in your Collection, the options are Move to Inventory and Write Note. I have one collectible trackable (that is not my own) in my collection. Traveler was given to me as a gift from the owner to keep in my collection.
  5. How long have you been waiting for it to be published?
  6. This is total BS! You do not ever have to mention in your log what order you found the geocache. And who signed first is not all that matters.
  7. Nice. How does the crown attach? Does it come off and hide a NPS themed pathtag?
  8. Is the Map Orientation set to North Up or Track Up ?
  9. The instructions were there to follow: How to Join the HQ Duck Dash: Get a new unactivated trackable! Enter your duck-themed trackable (like these ones!) or any other trackable without prior travel history. (Pro Tip: Do NOT place your trackable in a geocache until July 20, 2016 or later. Movement prior to this date may disqualify your trackable.) Activate it. Set your trackable’s mission. (Pro Tip: Include instructions to get your trackable to a geocaching event on August 20, International Geocaching Day.) Read the HQ Duck Dash Code of Honor. By entering a trackable into this year’s race, you agree to abide by these rules. Enter your trackable into the race by filling out this signup form by July 17, 2016. (The official Deadly Duck tags will be automatically entered into the race once they are activated, even after the official start of the race on July 20, 2016.) You must be 18 years or older to participate. Watch your trackable race to a geocaching event on International Geocaching Day!
  10. When you run your pocket query, it will comes as a zip file. Are your getting this zip file? Unzip the files and save the gpx files to the Garmin/GPX folder on your gps or on the micro sd card in your gps.
  11. Just moving it to another geocache is helping the goal. It doesn't have to be a TB hotel.
  12. It's just a coin. They're not trying to sell you marijuana.
  13. Have you tried installing the maps to your computer? (Map Options) Then try to install the maps to your gps from BaseCamp?
  14. It is trackable. http://shop.geocaching.com/default/trackable-items/trackable-tags/geocaching-road-trip-15-travel-tag-high-five-for-the-earth.html
  15. Hmmm...Those are questions to ask before buying a $650 GPS.
  16. Need more info. What are you using to navigate? ( phone / app or model of gps )
  17. Or, if on the website, you can edit a previous log and drop the trackable in the same way described by noncentric. (No extra Write Note log needed)
  18. Retrieves and drops in the same geocache was why Discover logs were created way back when.
  19. If you could turn off Discover logs, what you would see are many more retrieve(or grab) and drop off logs in the same geocache.
  20. That...I haven't figured out. I think we used to be able to hide and unhide souvenirs with gc little helper. Now can't find how to unhide.
  21. Are you using the GC Little Helper extension?
  22. Sounds reasonable and appropriate. Thanks all for you input. I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens. I won't make too many, just a few to start, and see how things go. Setting it as collectible would also not allow it to be placed in geocaches and to accrue mileage.
