  1. We have an eTrex Vista that was found by the side of the road in Florida recently and we wondered if it may have belonged to a cacher. It is brand new apart from the scratches where it hit the asphalt. If you can tell me the area/road that it may have been lost then we may be able to re-unite you. The Hokesters from England
  2. EEK - didn't we do that exact same thing at THAT cache in 2004 or was it 2005
  3. Congrats to Mattwaggie for FINALLY getting to the really average total finds of 1,000
  4. Gawd - go off to work for a couple of days and look what you miss! Congrats to all, especially P&T & TOS - you know who you are...! HOKES
  5. I flinch a bit when I post stuff like this not knowing how well it will be received but glad it's giving you a giggle. With wit like that - you should be a regular in GeoChat
  6. OK it's 10am Sunday morning (I had a lie in) and you did it to me again! Pocket Query = Mad search of the pockets for something to deposit in the cache when your cache bag is bare and you REALLY want THAT McD toy.
  7. That's just toooo funny - you could cause me an injury at 08:00 on a Saturday morning!!! GeoChat = Chat about Geocaching - as on topic as a topic about geocaching can get (well - most of the time ) (Edit - to add disclaimer)
  8. Hi Honeybirds, I'm South Derbys. too - send me a PM or email me through my profile and we can meet up. Si from The Hokesters...
  9. Tell me you didn't have MORE icecream oysters AFTER we left the park??? Congrats Moote :o
  10. Congrats to HazelS, Purple Pineapples and Wizard1974UK for bagging milestones this weekend at TDW's Birthday PArty
  11. I don't think anyone should HAVE to drive and I know I am lucky to be able to drive and able to afford a vehicle and fuel it in order to cache. I still do not think it should be demanded that we post station details on a cache page (event or otherwise). And the OP didn't demand but however he did infer that he would like it to be mandatory - which is unacceptable. It isn't mandatory to include parking co-ords and neither should it be mandatory to include ANY other information apart from the location of the event. Still I think it is a good idea - as I said in my original response.
  12. Oh! did I mention the option of contacting the event organiser #through their profile to ask for the local station, taxi rank, curry house, KFC!!! grrrr
  13. And there's me thinking I had put in a level headed "opinion".
  14. Whilst I think there is nothing wrong with the idea I totally disagree with demanding this information on events. I really don't think it is too tricky to work it out for yourself. Slightly on topic - it may be useful to add the contact details of the local chippy and Chinese, Indian and pizza takeaways going by comments at two recent events P.S. Don't start because I haven't included kebab houses or sushi restaurants
  15. Great idea (mine I believe ) We are added.
  16. New Camping Event in Siberia - no tent central heating allowed!
  17. Just to let you know that Hokesters.co.uk will be down for a few hours today. If you wish to use the applet (Java) from your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc) please use the link GeoChat2. With the Hokesters server being down I am afraid users of my webcam service will not be able to update their webcam pictures until they come back up again and current pictures may dissapear from GeoTV. Simon
  18. Hi there, East Mids (Derby) here. Let me know through my profile what you need - or pop into chat and ask for HOKES (see URL below). Simon from The Hokesters
