I appreciate your response. However this is a game that requires two things at minimum to play: a gps unit of some kind, and a computer with Internet access. To then say timely logging presupposes someone's socio-economis status is high is a bit of a stretch !

So I need to vent here. People need to log travel bugs in a timely manner. I mean why on earth can someone not log that they dropped a tb in a cache within a day of doing so. I don't know anyone who can't figure out how to take 5 minutes and log the thing. One of the following things is pretty much available to anyone in this day and age: smartphone with web access, laptop, computer at a hotel if traveling, friends computer or smartphone, etc. I really love the sport and especially these travelers. It would be great to see people actually take care of the logging so that things don't get messed up. Ok. I'm sure someone here will tell me why I'm wrong but I had to say it. What are some other thoughts on solutions ??

Noticed that too. I just don't know what the fascination is with facebook... I think it's some kind of brainwashing cult. I am very anti-facebook and do not care for it when sites do this. Please be aware that if you sign in using facebook you are sharing your geocaching profile information with Facebook........

I am a fairly new cacher and love TB's. I put our first one out a few weeks ago and it was picked up the first day. Now it appears it may be in the hands of a kidnapper ! Picked it up and is not moving it along...........Going to write them a message after three weeks and ask them to return it to the cache

That was my first thought. Contacted the "discoverer" who claimed he did not take it.

I travel bug was dropped off at a nearby cache a week and a half ago. A few days after it was dropped off a cacher logged that TB as discovered at the Cache. Two days after the Discovery log I went to retrieve the TB as it still showed in inventory. When I went, the TB was no longer in the cache and was not logged as Picked Up by anyone. I emailed the Cacher who wrote the Discovered log to see if maybe he accidently logged it wrong. He claimed not to have taken the TB. What should be done in this situation ?? Should I email the owner and ask them to mark as missing ?? I don't want it to forever appear in the inventory of this cache ??

I appreciate the responses, good to hear it should work, and that I am not alone in having issues toady. This is a very expensive app and its frustrating when something doesn't work ! I was able to use it for finding a few caches today with my son. I have not tried logging into the App again. WIll wait until another time I guess.

Just purchased the app from the app store and installed. The app dos not appear to work at all. When I start the app it asks to use current location which I allow. When I try to log in it just hangs forever. When I attempt to see caches near me it just hangs forever. I have deleted and reinstalled. I have restarted phone, etc with no improvement in results. ANy suggestions ?? Who do I contact to get a refund of the $9.99 I just spent ??
