  1. I'm sure I have come across this before, but, can't remember exactly.... Gonna take a stab with Oldham, which rings a bell....
  2. It's actually right above Avoid Whales....... It's alphabetical
  3. The one which involves far too much Brains SA
  4. I only have 40 finds, so it would not be that bad......
  5. Can this be done retrospectively? Eg, activate a trackable now and dip it in previously logged caches to provide total mileage?
  6. We are off to the Forest Of Dean for a week and would like to know if there are any recommended caches to visit. Have already been recommended 'Fancy Geomapping' and 'Crabtrees Valentine'....... Thank you in advance...
  7. How does a Vista Hcx compare. Finances not as expected with me now......
  8. Along similar lines as the OP. I am looking to bite the bullet and upgrade from Etrex h to either: Oregon 400T Oregon 450 Satmap 10 Can any of them also be used as car Sat Nav with voice directions? Sorry GeoBardy to piggyback your thread, but, as we seem to be looking at about the same cost unit thought it better than a new thread.
  9. Sorry to go slightly off topic, but, going away in 2 weeks for a break and was looking (only today) at caches en-route. Came across a puzzle cache worth a possible visit and the above question gives me the answer to 2 of the required 10 digits...... Thanks
  10. I had a cache published on the 8th Feb and archived it 17 days later. Nothing stopped me doing that, so what is this about the 3 month minimum.
  11. Recently picked up North Face Assailant GTX shoes in Blacks. They only had 1 colour (Blue/Foil Grey) and no boxes. They were hanging on plastic shoe hangers. This range seems to have been replaced by their Hedgehog range. They have a Gore-Tex lining and were priced at £49-99 instead of the £99-99 original price, due to the batch being un-boxed and ony in 1 colour. Seemed a bargain for Gore-Tex lined quality brand shoes, so off to the till I went. Upon paying for them I received more good news as, after being scanned they came up as the price being £39-99. Don't know if it is nationwide, this was Swansea, but, may be worth a look.
  12. Received my coin this morning (Autumn). It is a lovely coin indeed. Thanks.
  13. That also has a bearing on it.....
  14. Thanks for all the help. Regarding Memory Map, it is of no help to me as I have an etrex with no immediate intention of upgrading to anything else. Also don't own any type of PDA or other windows mobile type device. I have ordered an Active map. Thanks Reddeeps. I also think it is nice to open out a map and see the whole picture. As I am an early riser (compared to my other half!!), while away I will plan our days walking that morning with the map opened out in front of me while enjoying a nice cup of coffee!!!!
  15. We have quite a few OS Explorer maps for various areas around the country and find them quite invaluable. We need a new one for our forthcoming break in the Forest of Dean as our existing one is quite battered and bruised. Would anyone recommend the Active map against the normal paper one?
  16. Just had a listen and it was a great report. We are visiting the Forest for a weeks break in April and I will put those 2 on our to do list.
  17. Tried adding a couple of clues last night, but, did not want to work!!! The cache name is familiar The establishment was once a concert venue...
  18. Ok, I'll stick with the new theme...... What is the cache bottom left?
  19. Do we think, as he said, a "teddies and dummy post", can now be officially known as a Matrix Moment......
