  1. I don't know about anyone else, but the new look of the listing of the caches looks a bit cluttered, I like it the old way, especially the listing separated my found caches and put them at the bottom of the page. Just my $0.02

    New look?

I don't know about anyone else, but the new look of the listing of the caches looks a bit cluttered, I like it the old way, especially the listing separated my found caches and put them at the bottom of the page. This time should have been put into making the site faster, not harder to read. Just my $0.02
  3. My Magellan 310 also has only has two decimal places for minutes (ex. N34° 12.02 instead of N34° 12.021) until I got a newer GPS unit, I just rounded off the numbers, it just made the search area a bit bigger. I still found about 70 caches with the 310.
  4. Try this one. I found it relatively easy when I lived in Sac (O'Vale). It's in the Laguna area, near a park close to Laguna Bl and Big Horn Bl. Good Luck. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=4893
  5. I found a few caches in this area, it's got lots of wide dirt roads. Might be a bit warm in June though. What kind of help are they looking for, setting up coords, etc? Sounds like fun.
  6. When they were doing a documentary show about escapes from Alcatraz, they used a Mag GPS310 (my first GPS) to track the current that would supposedly have taken the bodies of the escapees out to sea.

  8. There was a cache placed near Sacramento Airport way before 9/11. After 9/11, one finder was stopped and questioned by Sacramento Co. Sheriffs, and was told that it wasn't a good idea to place suspicious objects near the end of an airport runway. Same with one placed near an airport in Tehachapi, CA. I guess you have to take the 'world situation' into consideration when placing caches. What a shame.
  9. I've been caching for 1 1/2 years here in SFV and in Sacramento too where I first learned of Geocaching.
