  1. Four days ago, my closest seven caches are between 79.2 and 97.2 miles away. We own or had done all the others within 100 miles. First requires a six hour hike. Second is an easy boat cache. We'll probably rent a boat next year to get this one. Third requires only a 3 hour hike. We'll probably try this one if we get some decent weather.) Fourth & Fifth require a long (overnight) canoe trip (with portages). Sixth requires a 2.5 mile (or 3.5 miles, if the "roads" are bad) hike with severe elevation changes. Seventh is an easy cache that we just haven't gotten to yet. Within in last four days, 7 new caches have shown up (14 -90 miles away). We DNFed on one of those today (47 mile). It's tough to find a micro when it is snow/sleeting due to GPSr inaccuracy.
  2. The oldest Manitoba cache is C1BUA - cache 1n builtup area by Brian Drader. It was in the front yard of his house in St Vital until recently when it was moved to Killarney MB. It was first placed on Feb 5, 2001.
  3. Thanks to Binrat for getting these pictures for me.
  4. My userid is pmclure which translate into W 76° 25.873 which is just east of Kingston. Can anyone help me with this locationless cache (GC3153)? Thanks, Peter
  5. I like the idea of having locationless caches being treated differently, but I think it would be better if they were in a separate catagory just like benchmarks. Would there be any "count" of the new "Mark a Waypoint"? If so, I would go to the trouble of converting all my locationless finds. I would like to be able to maintain my "count" of locationless; but not necessarily as "finds". I have several Virtuals and a couple of Mysteries that are actually locationless. I would like to be able to change these also.
  6. I have a TB that was removed from a cache (noted in cache log), but there was no TB log. This was only 2 weeks ago. An email to the relatively new geocacher explaining how to log a TB hasn't worked yet. As a TB owner, how long should you "leave a TB in a cache" when you know the TB has left the cache but has not been properly logged out? As a cache owner, same question? What is a reasonable time to wait before declaring a TB as officially missing?
