  1. Problem solved after a few hours of troubleshooting. Posting this solution in case anyone else ever runs into this issue. The Geocaching dot com website when opened up with my Android, using Google Chrome, has a place at the bottom of the home screen, after you log in, where you can change the language. I must have inadvertently "pocket selected" another language while out caching today. I've never been able to get the Geocaching dot com website to open in Samsung Internet as I always get that Anti-Forgery screen, that never goes away even IF I enable cookies. Anyway, always something to be learned.
  2. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue? I came home today to log my finds, in detail on the website, and all the drop down menus, hyperlinks, and other important navigating info is in Bulgarian. It's the same in all three browsers I have tried. I am able to translate the first page only. Then IF I click on a hyperlink that's been translated to English, when it takes me to a new page, it's the same issue. All the important text is in Bulgarian again, and no option to translate that page. The map itself is not affected, but all links to navigate the map are in Bulgarian. Everything was fine when I looked at the website this morning. I made no changes, and it was all messed up when I came home. All other websites not related to Groundspeak are fine. The Help page for Groundspeak is also showing all in Bulgarian. Any feedback, or suggestions would be helpful. I did send an email, but so far no reply. Thanks.

Best regards, Geocaching Community Coordinator My reply Thanks for your reply, A known issue/Bug for 18 months now, and no resolution to it? How is that possible in this day, and age of technology?

  5. Wondering if anyone else has contacted Groundspeak via email with this issue? I did this morning with the required screen shots, (same as what others have posted in this discussion/must included Version of the app), and I included a link to this forum discussion. If others who have contributed to this discussion could take the time to do the same, maybe this BUG might receive some attention? I went geocaching with someone yesterday who has had this same unresolved issue for 18 months now. I feel that is unacceptable. I will post here again when I obtain a response to my email.
  6. Posting regarding same issue. Began for me yesterday simply out of the blue. Did all the suggested fixes, and no change. Haven't had any new Souvenirs since Streak Week/August 31/19. It would be really nice IF this issue would be brought to the attention of the developers again. Customers simply want to know their concerns about these types of extremely annoying bugs, are being looked into. Communication is key here. Where is it?
  7. Thanks VP, I d/l c:geo, and even paid for Locus Pro, but don't like either of them. I really do like the Groundspeak App. When it behaves. I found 425 caches before I realized I had access to a map that showed trails. Once I started using a trail map I kind of became dependent on it. :-)
  8. Thanks noncentric, I was using the OSM Default on my laptop after the Geocaching Map started acting up, but a few minutes ago the OSM Default started doing the same thing that the Geocaching Map was. So after reading your reply I switched to Thunderforest OSM, and it seems to be fine at this time. I've been researching Garmin GPSrs just have to make a decision. Using a phone really limits the amount of GC time even if you d/l lists in advance the battery still drains. Thanks again. RLC
  9. Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate the info, but I already know how to do what you suggested. Most of my caching is in the parks. I need to see the trails. The default street map on the laptop does not show all the trails, and on my phone/Android the ONLY map that is of any use to me is the problem Trail map. The Street map, Satellite, and Terrain that are the only other choices on my phone do not show the trails. I like the user interface on the GC App. I don't want to use another type. I have d/l them out of frustration, and they are poorly designed, and hard to navigate. Not user friendly. Time to get a GPSr I guess. Anyway, thanks again. Appreciate your time. RLC
  10. This problem has been going on for more than one month if not longer. It has nothing to do with the browser, it has nothing to do with internet speed etc etc etc etc. I have sent emails asking what's going on. Once I got a reply stating they were working on it. The second time I received no reply. I have many photos of screen shots showing grey pages with nothing but huge over sized cache dots, pages of blocks of grey, and some caches. Never any roads or trails showing. There are also ongoing issues with not being able to upload photos. As a matter of fact I got the same error multiple times when trying to upload a photo to this post that met the size and format guidelines. You can't plan for your next day of caching IF you can't use the map the night before or the morning of. It's even more frustrating if you are a paying member. I don't feel I should have to use an APP from another company when I am paying annually already.
