I actually got the USB adapter, but it is so old i gotta use EasyGPS and I kinda wated to be lazy and use it right from the site, and the color is kinda cool, it adds altimeter and I still keep the compass is the price good, $150?

just to confirm is the Garmin 60 CSX a good unit to go with right now I have the Magellen Maridian Gold and it does very good but I wanted to go color and USB is $150 a good price?

the only real problem I see with it, is that it has no compass, but for $65 I would be interested -

well I got it to work, I downloaded EasyGPS and it connects and I use it, the software on the forum, is meant for the newer units so mine wont connect, it isnt because of the cable, it is the software.

I have the driver for it, I can see it when I plug it in them pull it out, but no communication between the comp and GPS I like this unit but I guess I am gonna have to get a newer unit if I wanna start caching again

ok here is the problem I have a Magellen Meridian Gold, it sonnects serial to the computer I don't want to insert my SD card, download then have to re-insert my SD card into the GPS I have a newer comp with no serial connections and I am trying to use a 9 serial to USB I was given by the guy I bought the GPS from about 3 years ago the GPS connected great via serial to my old computer, but not to my new computer via USB any suggestions will a serial to USB adapter actuallu work or was the guy smoking crack

yup all the reviews say send it back, or the updates arent happening, or they wish they had never bought the darn thing because it is junk... not 1 good review that i can find -

i used mu Nuvi 200 for a few, and it works, but remember to change ot to pedestrian and off road mode each time and then it will work kinda well but the no compass bothered me so i got a Magellan Meridian Gold, it is B/W but has a compass, it sucks at streets but is water proof and rugged as all heck, and is much better suited for geocaching, it was used and i got it for $50 with all the accessories, so get both! buy the Nuvi (new) and get a used Magellan, it works well for me
