Hey Renegade, what formatting tool do you use? I can move files to My Documents in main memory with no trouble but my SD card doesn't show up when docked to the PC.

Someone mentioned wearing USGS hat and orange vests. On the same subject what do you wear when caching? Camoflage or regular civilian clothes. I can see how camo might keep you concealed when 200 ft. off the trial in the woods but could also make you look more suspicious if seen snooping around in the woods.

I am also considering a Vista. For those that have eTrex series GPSRs how do you like the Thumb Stick button? Also how is the resolution (text too small to read?) I read a review and these were the only complaints was the thumb stick was hard to use and the text was too small.

I'm a newbie here. Can someone explain the difference between true and magnetic north and where you see each?

I am new to the sport and looking at differnet GPS units. How much memory do you need for mapping? How much memory does the US Topo maps take? How much memory is required to load the streets for a large city like Charlotte, NC. How much for the whole state? I was looking at the eTrex Legend with 8MB. What can I load with 8MB? What could I do with 56MB?
