  1. Hello everyone. these poictures make me rethink my dnf. I was hoping that no one would object if I used some of the pictures posted here as backgrounds for a power point presentation that I am giving at The National recreation and Parks Association' national congress.
  2. Man In The Wild QUOTE=Man In The Wild,Jul 16 2004, 06:18 PM]The problem with my avitar is that I'm not the only one caching here. Our whole family caches and we just log with my account. I'd love to have an avitar for the family. What we'd really like to have is a B&W picture we could use to make a cache/letterbox stamp for our family (avitar would be color.) We use a Garmin Legend, and occasionally our old yellow etrex. For now we usually have our Handspring Visor Neo with us for cache sheets. I don't think we need these in the picture. My wife: Queenfish. She likes fish and Queenfish just sounded right. Our daughters: Comet Horse--she wanted a horse and she liked the name when I mentioned the horse from Supergirl comics. Miss Cheetah--she decided a Cheetah was her animal, and it's worked well for her. I often call her Cheetah now even when we're not caching. We'd love to see something with all of these combined. It sounds very crowded to me, but I always pictured my bear walking near a creek with the "Queenfish" and the horse and cheetah on either side. Everyone looking friendly (but not too cute.) i CAN GIVE YOU THE INDIVIDUALS , hOPE YOU LIKE THEM
  3. I would like to submit mine. All I would really need is Roo with a butterfly like this.... or even more simple. Thanks. Kimmyroo
  4. Cachecows or just thought I would add my two cents into the works
  5. I ALWAYS have to find a cache the hard way it can be 20 feet from me but I will walk across the fallen tree and jump back across th ecreek before I find it. It is a sort of joke between the group that I will cache with that we have to make everything harder than it sould be.
  6. The main thing that I am looking for is information from more experienced cachers about what they would like to tell park administrators from across the nation. If you had one point that you could get across to them what would it be?
  7. Hello, I am also guilty of lurking. I did not go onto the forums until recently when I needed (and still need help check out National Parks and Recreation Association session) I am still kinda a newbie and don't want to step on any toes, or have anyone step on mine so I don't post. OK that's it. Have a great day.
  8. Renegade Knight the points that you mentioned are some of the main reasons that I want it to be a great session at the conference. It is also why I am trying to get input from some of the more experianced cachers to help us.
  9. Hello everyone, I hope everyone is having a great summer. I don't know if you noticed in the geocaching topics section I mentioned the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) "let's go geocaching" session. It is Oct. 12 at 2:15-3:30. Anyway I offered to help Sheri (the lady that is hosting the session) with the session. She knows about the sport from a park administrators point of view. She asked me to help her with the session. Setting up an event cache was mentioned, but as we are both not in Reno that could be hard to do. Does anyone have any ideas that would be helpful? I have tried to contact a couple of the local cachers but have not heard from them. This could be a great opportunity to make park officials from all over the US aware of the benefits to their park when they allow geocaching there. There will be representitives from local, state, and national parks at the convention. Thanks.
  10. Hello everyone, Anyway I offered to help Sheri with the session. She knows about the sport from a park administrators point of view. She asked me to help her with the session. Setting up an event cache was mentioned, but as we are both not in Reno except for the conference it may not be very feasable. Does anyone have any ideas that would be helpful? I have tried to contact a couple of the local cachers but have not heard from them. Thanks.
