  1. Hmm, I always thought that meant ground zero.
  2. Flat pack tupperware. You mean this isn`t a first to find certificate?!? And this is why the Germans lost the war... Shoddy workmanship. I`m sorry Officer, it can`t be mine, mine melted off last time I heard there was a FTF within 5 miles from home. Pengy
  3. Badger finally rips his undercarriage off after pushing it up one too many back streets! T
  4. Speak fer yerself! I didn't get any bites at all - dunno what all the fuss was about
  5. Glad you've sorted summat for that weekend, as I had promised peeps Lancs would be on then. That was before I was told I would be working out of the country for a wee while. I was trying to figure out a way of breaking the news. Will do our best to be there, but depends on flights and such.
  6. What about Dunsop Bridge, after all it does have a very significant position in British Isles, Dunsop Bridge was officially recognised by the Ordnance Survey in 1992 as the neareset village to the centre of the British Isles. OK I can now hear loads of you wanting to disagree. No it's definatly not Meriden anyway. nuff said
  7. I have the answer, don`t read the forums and go caching instead.. problem solved.
  8. Before it`s locked, congrates to jerryo for 100 forum posts...

  10. People who make up stupid acronyms should all be shot.... (by the way) Completely pointless posts should all be closed (by the way) Putting (By the way) at the end of a post, just to try to say it was all a joke, should be banned too... (by the way) Pengy
  11. You didn't read my post properly. I never said it wasn't about navigation at all. I said it wasn't JUST about navigation. The post I was replying to implied that caches should not be hidden, or at least hidden so badly they should be obvious when you get there.
  12. I'm afraid I don't agree. Geocaching is not just about navigating somewhere, it's about the hunt (as well as plenty of other things). There's nothing more disappointing to me than arriving at ground zero to find a flipping great pile of sticks/stones. You may as well install a pink neon flashing arrow above it. For many caches the whole point of them is that they will take some time to find - detailed hints are not compulsary. I do agree though that unless there is a good reason, such as an imaginitive container, there's not a lot of value in chucking out a micro in a where a cache with swaps will fit. However, I don't generally gripe about it because there are so many caches out there that I could ignore any I don't like, however I don't feel strongly enough to ignore any! A smiley is a smiley. If you manage to run out of the kind you like, then come back here and complain lol! T
  13. Maybe all the girls are too busy caching to sit indoors on the forums and reply to threads
  14. I THINK it means that you can send a link of it to others, and they will be able to see it, but it won't show up on the cache pages. The only use I can think of is if you are going out with other cachers for the day, and you want them to see the list and download a PQ of them. T PS I may be wrong of course!
  15. Just to add to my previous post, it looks like things are no better - TB in prison
  16. After attending events in different areas of the UK, I can tell you that the 'discovering' behaviour is different in different places. In the majority of places, you get the handful of people who will discover any coin just for the icon (not too bad I think), then there will be a few more who will sit and write down the number of every TB in sight (every so slightly odd IMO). Then you go to events where loads of people are just sat raking through the TBs, or god forbid someone has made a list of all the tracking numbers so everyone can take a copy or write the numbers down without ever seeing the TBs. In such places I have now vowed to just pass the TBs on to other cachers rather than put them 'on the table' Near to one of these such places, we visited a TB hotel. The majority of the TBs had just been sat there for months, while cacher after cacher had visited, discovered them and left them there. The cache was full of water too, and many people had just left the TBs there just rotting in it. We completely cleared out the TB hotel, and repaired every TB that had been ruined. We received many thank you emails from the TB owners for moving them as well as repairing them. T
  17. It behaves in exactly the same way. The one and only advantage of using mmo files is that you can have more than one in there ready to use. For example if we are going away to several different places I find it easier to have an overlay ready for each one, rather than one big overlay. If you never need to do this and your active sync works fine, then there's really no reason to change. T
  18. That's what most folks think, but it's not the case. You can export an mmo file and just put that on your card. All you then do on the PPC is double click on the mmo file in file explorer, and providing memory map is open, it will load it in. You can therefore have several overlays stored on your card, and you can switch between them. T
  19. It shouldn't be, because the rules are you have to move them.
  20. 449 http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.200-5870.aspx No, that's the points you get FOR buying one. To buy anything, it's a penny per point, therefore you need 44,997 points to buy one. Anyone got 45k spare to spend on groceries and fuel?
