  1. How is it possible for me to put a picture in my gallery?
  2. How on earth can I put a picture up on here without having to put it on the web first?! Zen Rabbit and I met on a rock climbing forum. We both had been climbing for many years, but lived in different towns, and weren't particularly looking to meet someone. We started an e-mail conversation which just grew and grew, covering all sorts of interesting topics. Eventually, we decided to meet and go climbing together, in the Peak District in the UK. I had just been skiing, and as it was easter, I decided to take an easter bun in the shape of a rabbit with me for him. We met up in a camp site in the pouring rain. The ground was a quagmire of mud, it was dark, and I was very tired from travelling. I arrived to see a helpful person opening the gate for me. It was Zen Rabbit! He said that he had a present for me - it was a Lindt chocolate rabbit! I gave him his rabbit bun, which he promptly ate, but my rabbit was too cute to eat, so I thought I would save it for a bit. the next day, we had planned to climb, but it was still pouring with rain, so we went for a walk instead. It felt as though I was meeting up with someone that I had known for years - and I felt as though he knew me too but did I really want to get involved in a relationship? I decided that I would have to go away and have a think about things, rather than just rushing into anything. Two weeks later, and we were back together for the weekend. I remember a moment, sitting on a tree trunk in the weak spring sunshine, just looking into his eyes, and KNOWING that he knew me! The words of the song "You were made for me" were playing inside my head. Over the next few weeks we spent each weekend together. In every way, we seemed to be such a good match for one another, sharing so many of our values, hobbies, culture, friends. The only problem was that we lived in different towns. 7 weeks after we first met, we were talking about what the future would bring. "Would you ever consider getting married?" he asked. "Well - it depends who to!" "Would you marry me?" "Yes!" We both looked at each other, with big grins plastered across our faces. ...but was I just seeing what I wanted to see? Was it all just wishful thinking? I thought that my family would have much more objective judgement than I would, so I decided to ask them what they thought about it before actually setting the date. My neice gave Zen rabbit 9 out of 10.... that was until she discovered that he was a climber too, when she changed her score to 10 out of 10!!! My sisters thought he was just right for me. AND even my mum approved!!! So 5 1/2 months after we first met, we were getting married! We had a simple ceremony with just our immediate families, which gave them a chance to get to know one another as it was the first time that they had met!! Then two weeks later, we had a big party for all of our friends - renting a big youth hostel with 51 bunk beds for the weekend, and asking people to bring food instead of presents. Various friends played insturments and sang for the music and we had a 4 tiered cake made from 4 whole cheeses! We made little marzipan figures of ourselves to put on the top - Zen rabbit made me, and I made him. Unfortunately, I still had to work in my own town, so we couldn't actually get to live together! but I began to apply for jobs in his town, and eventually 4 months after the wedding, I actually moved into his house! We have now been together for 4 years, and every day I look at him and think just how lucky I am. The photograph is of us on a climbing holiday in Sinai - we were the only climbers in the whole country! You can just about see the road at the bottom of the moutain. ...and as to my chocolate rabbit... Well - I'm still waiting for the right moment to eat him!
  3. Why would they be uncomfortable about it? Is it because it is a lot cheaper to make them than people sell them for or something?
  4. We did check out the vendors - but there just seems to be no mention at all of prices, not even a rough guide of what we might expect to have to spend up front? That is why I thought I would ask all of you experienced folks here! I know that in many ways it is an impossible question to answer - but I thought I might get some ideas.
  5. Have you ever made your own Geocoin? If so, how did it go in the end? How much does it cost to make one? We've looked all over the place, but very few places mention prices at all - and we were just interested in getting a rough idea of how much it would cost to make one and some of the pitfalls that we might need to avoid, as well as the benefits of doing it.
