  1. 15 hours sounds like a bit much for a newbie (I don't even have my GPSr yet!), otherwise I'd consider joining you. I've lived in and around Hertfordshire for a large chunk of my life (though I'm now resident in West Sussex), so know the area fairly well. My one advantage as a freelancer is I can take the following day off :-) Ummm..... I need to think about this a little more. Do you have contact details whilst you're in the UK? - Neil.
  2. But if cacher meets turn out to be like any other kind of similar gathering, they tend to start out small and grow from there. Pick a location (pub, coffee shop, whatever) and a regular time (first Saturday of the month, every wednesday evening) and advertise it. The first coupel of time you may be on your own (take a good book!) but you'll be suprised how people come out of the woodwork. And if it's well publisied you may find visiting cachers making plans to be in the area to coincide with a meet. - Neil.
  3. We a very new to this, currently building up knowledge. It will be quite sometime before we would be anywhere near thinking about putting a cache together. But it's nice to know there are like minded souls near by though. - Neil.
  4. My wife and I would be interested in a meeting. We've just discovered geocaching and would welcome the opportunity to meet some experienced cachers. We're in Billingshurst, so practically anywhere in the county is fine. - Neil.
  5. I've been looking at the GPSmart for use with a Nokia 6600 and the Wayfinder application. I wanted a display on the unit for those time you just want to check your co-ordinates, but I have come across GPS Dial which provides the basic output on the 6600, so I may look at a more compact unit. There are similar programs for Palm OS and PocketPC. There is a very detailed review on PocketGPS. One thing it mentions is the unit's very quick fix times. - Neil.
