  1. All this stuff needs to tie together seamlessly. And it wouldn't be that hard. The emails and the wap site need to work together. Time for a "super dooper pooper scooper ultra special platinum plus premium membership" that costs $.47 per month more and does all this jazz! Might go as high as $.50/month . 2. I'm DeRock. The Psychic Cacher doesn't share my FTF obsession unfortunately. Deane AKA: DeRock & the Psychic Cacher - Grattan MI
  3. Sure would like to see the waypoint (GC????) added to the email notifications. I get notifications for all published caches sent to my cell phone and there is absolutely no way I can get the coords from the wap site using the info in the notification email. If anybody has a work around I sure would appreciate it. A frustrated FTF'er in Michigan Deane AKA: DeRock & the Psychic Cacher - Grattan MI
  4. Just bought a Timbuk2 Metro. The wife is already calling it my "Man Purse". Sometimes you just can't win . Deane AKA: DeRock & the Psychic Cacher - Grattan MI
  5. How about limiting icons on the map pages where you visualize waypoints (list waypoints closest to another cache). It got done on other pages but not here. For instance look at the event on this page and how it goofs up everything http://www.geocaching.com/map/getmap.aspx?...&lon=-86.149667 Thanks, DeRock AKA: DeRock & the Psychic Cacher - Grattan MI Edit: My bad, from the above page you have to zoom out a couple of bars while listing caches.
  6. For the record: I use a Meridian color, wife uses 76cs. Often we both use autoroute at the same time. To be fair they both have their good points and their bad points. It would appear to us that the 76cs has fewer bad points. Garmin and Magellan could both learn from each other. Happy trails, DeRock
  7. I'm a paperless newbie with hopefully a small problem. Downloaded from GSAK to my wifes Garmin 76cs a gpx file. All the waypoints show up ok on the waypoints page. But the icons aren't showing up on the map page. I can do a go to and the icon for that go to shows up fine on the map page. I'm looking to have all the downloaded waypoint icons show up on the map page. I think I have a gps problem not a GSAK problem (heck, it's probably a me problem ). I've searched the 76cs manual, the unit itself, and the forums and I can't find anything that works. Please help. Thanks, Deane & Linda AKA: DeRock & the Psychic Cacher - Grattan MI
  8. A big thanks to everyone for responding. We're back now and only did 20 caches during our visit but each of them was unique. Keep up the good hides Thanks again, Deane & Linda DeRock & the Psychic Cacher - Grattan MI
  9. The Psychic Cacher and I will be visting the greater Seattle area next weekend for about 9 days. We are looking for cache recommendations for our trip. Day trips outside the Seattle area are ok. Will be spending at least a couple of days in Vancouver also. I have been reading about the 10 essentials. Looks like geocaching here can get pretty intense. No long hikes or rock/glacier climbing please. Especially interested in caches that have been around a looooong time or those that have been placed by our sports founders. We also love caches that have glorious views, historical importance, or use creative hiding techniques. We are looking to celebrate our 100th find while in your wonderful state. Thanks, DeRock
