  1. Now I need to know what TOTT is? Only 10 years of caching and I've never heard of it!!
  2. We're visiting Australia in February. It's going to be quite a busy visit but are there any MUST DO caches in Brisbane ( up to Hervey Bey), Cairns, Ayres Rock - Alice Spings or Darwin? I'm thinking of famous / infamous ones or really OLD ones or just pure quality and genius. We would appreciate any ideas, Diolch (Thank you) Sian - welshsprite
  3. I'm going to be based near Oxford for a couple of days soon... and need ideas for a geocaching adventure. This could be an interesting series, a kayaking series, a climb (to some extent - not too high) or anything else you can suggest. Happy to travel 40 -60 mile. One of the party doesn't like enclosed spaces but that's about it. All help, guidance and advice gratefully received.
  4. Well, 35 Irish caches done including Europe's First! Loved it! Another favourite was GCGFM7 - Lough na Foohey View.
  5. Heehee! Only 100 miles out of the way but... doable! Thanks.
  6. We're off to Ireland at the end of the month and looking for caching recomendations. We're sailing into Rosslare and driving West towards Limmerick and Galway. Anything interesting on the way? We might also spend the day in Waterford on our journey home. Any / all pointers greatly received.
  7. Any advice? My partner has just registered a very special trackable to my account, instead of her own. (We share a computer and I'd left it logged into my account) It's a special TB she want to release for her god-children so it's not a case of grabbing it from me. She needs to be the registered owner. Help? Please?
  8. Diesel & Wyvern have a Welsh Solar System Series in East Wales.I think there are 15 of them, the first being GC3PA4Q. "The Solar System Series follows a rough line north to south along the Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales and covers 40 miles using 1 mile to 1 astronomical unit, which itself equals 93 million miles. When finding the caches you will also notice we have chosen cache sizes relative to the size of the planets etc"
  9. crb11. I'm afraid the 'virtual' external link isn't working. Which cache were you referring to?
  10. I could do Ceredigion too if you're stuck..... conquering the Preseli hills is a regular occurance to cross the border
  11. I love the idea. I'm in Wild West Pembrokeshire and travel all over Wales to cache and I'd welcome a LQ series. I've only just started on the English one. (Happy to help down in this corner) Sian
  12. I know, I know (jumping up and down with my hand up). However I'm going to leave it to someone else because I don't want to embarrass myself with my attempt to spell it!
  13. DING! Correct. As a primary school teacher we say there are 29 letters to the alphabet.
  14. This is my first attempt at this so be gentle with me... How many letters in the Welsh alphabet?
  15. Thanks very much. I knew United Airlines (from the United 93 film) but American Airlines was a semi-guess. Ok, what would I mean by "cum hoc ergo propter hoc"? with this, therefore because of this ?
  16. I managed to escape Pembrokeshire this week (the joys of half term) and spent some time caching in Bristol and Bath. Lovely. There were lots of lovely caches but one that caught my eye was a recent cache - the owner was one of the first to find it! I've never discovered my own cache. Am I missing out or is it the cache owner that's doing things differently?
  17. Oh, I remember my childhood when Dad would ask 'would you like a little job?' to which I'd naively agree - and then spend the rest of the afternoon pulling ragwort out of the ground. I never learned!!
