How come I get a blank strip across the maps I print using Chrome. The caches are there but no roads the strip is about 1 1/2" wide.

I too would also like this feature restored. It was a quick way for me to unsure that I didn't double log anything.

How do I obtain correct coordinates for my caches?
The Campers replied to apanache12's topic in How do I...?
I don't know how accuracy your phone app is but the best way to get coordinates is to take reading on 3 difference days and 3 difference times of day then average all the readings. If you get N 32 12.123 W 086 23.345 the next you get N 32 12.125 W 086 23.346 then N 32 12.126 W 086 23. 344 Average would be N 32 12.125 W 086 23.235. Hope this helps. -
List of cache names beside the map
The Campers replied to Pioneer Poodle's topic in General geocaching topics
Moun10Bike you said "It is better to just create a PQ for the criteria you want and then display that PQ on the map. PQs display with a list of the cache names." OK I did this and it worked but is there a way to also get the GC numbers as the driving unit only list GC numbers. I got the printing thing fix, but still like the way the old maps looked. Tom -
That worked for me. Now I can print maps and then write in all the names and GC # since Groundspeak took away the maps with the list of caches on it.
-
First I don't think that God cares if I break quote tags or not. I was going back in time every time GC does some thing with the maps a lot people uses IE have trouble printing. I ask for help and all I get is go to windows 7 or change from IE or use GSAK but nobody wants to give me any money to pay for this stuff.
-
let me guess you're using IE? try a different browser, i can print them just fine from FF following the printer friendly link from the cache page What is WRONG with useing IE I would guess about 50% use it so why shouldn't GC gome up with something that will work with IE. Why should I change browser, why should I upgrade Windows, I didn't break it GC did it all??????????????????????

List of cache names beside the map
The Campers replied to Pioneer Poodle's topic in General geocaching topics
While we are on this topic I can not print the new maps I get a blank page. I have asked for help on this and the reply is I do this with Windows 7 or you use something other than Internet Explorer. I will use a PQ if someone would tell me how to do it, but if I can't print it what good is it. I have seen other post from people that cannot print. What is the answer for that?? Tom -
This is the same question I have???? I liked the old maps that showed the caches and a list of their names and GC numbers on the right. This is what I printed and carried caching. I hope we get an answer. Tom

New maps. (beta) not an improvement
The Campers replied to JoesBar's topic in General geocaching topics
Easy solution!!! This is what I do and it works perfectly! Just type this into your address bar: geocaching.com/map and it will take you to the original maps (which I also like a little better too, to tell you the truth!) Jacob501 You have the best SolutionI have seen. I tried it and it worked. I like to print out the maps with the list of caches. The new, beta, maps don't have a list of caches and on the old maps, the map and caches show up, but when I print then all I get is a map with roads on it and no caches. There is a list of caches but the map cover most of them. I say that we go back to the old map. you can have the new, beta, maps also if I can have my old maps back. Tom -

Im not sure ,, it works fine for me. You now owe me 1 piece of paper because I wasted on a map of a power trail BTW I like the new maps. One thing I would like to see is a list of caches that you had with the old maps If you go to the old maps they now have the list of caches back, but you can't see the first one they are behind the map. I just wish they would put the maps back like they were. OK where do I send you the sheet of paper to. I am useing IE8 what do you use. -

Geocaching.com site update May 4th 2011
The Campers replied to OpinioNate's topic in Geocaching HQ communications
Just FIX the maps. I like the old map the best, that I could print and have the caches listed on the right side. Tom -
When I print the maps no caches are shown on the maps. We used the maps all the time to plot our route from cache to cache. Tom

How do I make my Garmin200W geocache ready?
The Campers replied to deborahalyonacker's topic in How do I...?
This might be what you are looking for. Entering Coordinates If you know the geographic coordinates of your destination, you can use your niivi to navigate to your destination using the latitude and longitude coordinates. This can be especially helpful when geocaching. 1. Touch Where to? > Coordinates. 2. Touch a box to enter a coordinate. 3. Touch Format to change the type of coordinates. Because different maps and charts use different coordinate formats, the nuvi allows you to select the correct coordinate format for the type of map you are using. 4. Enter the coordinates, and touch Next. -
bittsen I have one maybe two questions: 1. How do you inport a PQ into Excel. 2. When I run a PQ on My Finds it will not go pass 500 miles radius, I put in 1000 mi and it changed it back to 500miles Tom
