  1. If that bug comes to the UK you will get lots of photos
  2. I am off to turin next week for a couple of days for the olympics. I am unsure though whether to go caching during my time there as rehiding a tupperware box near an olympic venue could spark a terrorist evacuation etc. not what i need!
  3. Hopefully, we're going to see 'Kilometers'. It's a standard (SI) unit for distance. Of course, there should be an option for those who want 'Miles'. For those of us in the UK, we need a miles button because metric is far too advanced for us!
  4. At the end of the day, i picked up a normal TB about 2 months ago but as i have not cached anywhere more than 5 miles from the origional location i dont see the point of placing it. May not be the right thing to do but, i feel distance is more important than time.
  5. If its the only wy to win one of HH's Tb races - by taking everyone else's bugs to a 5/5 near you then i would be interested!! I wont have the money for a while but if it works and you get it running, maybe within 12 months
  6. You may get it, i dont. You havent had to coin in your possession so why log it? you have not moved it anywhere!
  7. At the end of the day, good beer or not, people will come - cause it gives you all a chance to meet up! Beer is just an added spur. Im a lager drinker so couldnt care either way
  8. I also posted this topic in the main forum (top of the list) and it was stopped for exactly that point that caching is not an olympic sport. How else are you supposed to contact "the world" without spamming a topic thro all forums. It seems stupid to me
  9. I am heading out to Turin 21-25 feb. Anyone else planning to go?
  10. Yes moote as the following 2 posts have explained the Winter games are about to start and so i am heading out there (for a break from uni work). I am just interested if there are any other cachers from the forums heading out!
  11. i have been waiting for 2 weeks to see milages re appear and still nothing. This change seems to have done more bad than good and maybe we should put up with the site problems and leve things alone. Why mess with something when it works?
  12. I am off to turin 21-25 feb (come back day before my own geo event ) Just wondering if there will be any other cachers out there then!?!?
  13. any chance of creating a non java chat so i can com in and join you lot again. Uni servers dont allow java chats you see
  14. Are people going to hold this against me, there are never come backs to Moote's rants
  15. Cache page updated with venue etc! Hope to see you all there Sorry i have not been in chatroom recently guys, i am at uni and the computers here dont support java chat
  16. Tupperware better that ammo! Metal doesnt bend, but u can squash plastic to "make it fit", in one of those "it will go in" moments
  17. How do we pre order?????? If we do it in here, then 2 of each please
  18. How dare you. I have never met you and now instead of keeping this forum as a family event you have to go on a personal attack!
  19. I think that in posting this topic, it has shown that some people need to calm down (might include myself in that for one post - looks at mongoose and is grateful that apology has been accepted), but i do think that we should all keep our eyes on the numbers of caches in the UK as in the future i am sure a time will come when a ban is enforced. I would hate to be the one who had to reply to a topic with "i told you so"
  20. If you ask me Lincoln is just fine. It has not had a cache event yet (thus mine), but for its size it couldnt cope with the expansion of places such as Birmingham Now for you information, until next week i am in Birmingham (uni hols). atleast one person agreed with me ^
  21. I didnt say it would be on the site. Harrogate hunters always has a event cache cache which is not loggable
