May i suggest if you are free popping down to the Brum bash (Feb 1st) which will allow you to meet other midlands cachers and possibly organise something
-
My train tickets are booked and the seats resurved.
Looking forward to event as i have not seen you Paul since that cache bash in Brum years ago!
-
as requested by Cache hoppers!

-
Ok,
Season 4 is here.
Anyone interested?
Details again to save you scrolling back up:
This is a bit of light hearted fun. Possibly a way to get cachers to compete with eachother.
Come and join me at http://www.xperteleven.com
Once you have joined (ITS FREE) log into the site and search for league ID 45538
I will then accept you and we can start playing!

Im drooling just reading this! I went to Rua Fiola 6 years ago and still spek frequently to the owner of the island.
Have not been back since.
If i came then i would be looking to camp, would this be a problem. Big problem is going to be work as i am in the process of looking for a seasonal job in Outdoor recreation (so could be anywhere in country). will know within 4 weeks so will keep you posted

Just wondering, because I put a new cache out over a week ago and no-one has found it yet...it's not like it's out in the backwoods or anything...although...actually, it is Bury...
Caches dont last a week across here.... but this is Yorkshire... you are on the wrong side of the pennines in Lancashire !!!
Happy Christmas to all....
Caches round by you are lucky if they last 24hrs!

I have been a member since august 2000. I have not become a member as i dont see the point.
I dont have a PDA, i still print out my caches and use them in the field.
I never pay for something which i can use for free.

Its been many years but we have made it, what have been the good times for you then? And what has changed?
-
ordered mine - and i do also believe that this is post 10,000 in this forum!!!!!!1

I'd been playing with the idea of a meet n greet in the quniton/dudley area one evening. But due to work have not had time to organise.
Maybe in the new year sometime i will get round to it
At the end of the day (until saturday) there has not been a Brum meet since the onces i organised around 4 years ago!

BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!
You have published an event which is due to take place 11 months ago!
date on cache is: 1/26/2006!!!!!
Perhaps it would have been kinder to just point this out in a polite email to both the cache setter and the reviewer rather than publically in here AND in Geochat!!
I think it is quite legit to point it out here.
I needed a laugh today, this gave it me, and im sure that others will see it in the light mockery it was meant

STOP PRESS, latest news...
It seems that this story will have a happy ending after all. I just got a message from local cacher Third Degree Witch and it seems that he has found the cache, replaced it and retrieved the geocoin. So a BIG public thank you to him and relief all round.
Bit of backward logic here but......
Its a shame that cache has been found and replaced in the same place.
If it had been found and then had the new co-ords logged on the site before being released again downstream this could be the first UK cache which moves and so becomes a mystery cache with no fixed location until a cacher locates it further downstream.
Am i making sense?
-
sounds good. will see where i am and if im working
-
What time are we expecting for it to finish?
-
Could i suggest that we play East v West not North v South
-
time for the rematch?

My 2p
I think that before the discovered icon came about TB's were staying in events longer so people could find and redrop them.
Now its here cachers are never sure how long to leave a TB there to be discovered before moving to next event.
I have around 30 TBs and coins on the move of which only 1 definatly and possibly 1 more have gone missing at events (both in the USA).

If i come, i wont be going to island, just pub!
I MAY BE THERE

seems pointless to me. Will this mean that all existing caches have to be reorganised????
Why not just leave something alone which works, instead of medaling and making it worse>?
