  1. Ge o I dont know how bad it will get
  2. That is a much better way of putting it than I did... The ultimate responsibility lies on the shoulders of the end user. EVERYONE needs to be responsible for their own actions. A lot of people think I am a total a** for my views, but I have never been one to blame others for my actions. Now that I have stirred the pot some more... I shall fade away into the night
  3. I would have to Disagree with Team GPSaxophone.... that is like saying that a gun manufacture is responsible for what a person does with the gun after they bought it from a store. I feel that as geocachers and outdoor enthusiasts we are ALL responsible for our own actions in the environments that we are in; need to remember that no matter what you do, someone is going to be watch and waiting for a excuse to complain about it and possibly get the activity shut down. just my 2 cents
  4. Don't want to sound like a party pooper . . but I don't think I really like the idea of there being a game camera around the hiding spot. I'm sure my picture is on PLENTY of them, however, those pictures I'm sure are deleted out asap cause I'm NOT the good lookn' Buck I use to be As for complete strangers WANTING and KEEPING photos of me and my family just seems too weird for me. So I know that for me and my family this game will be OVER if we find out that this is starting to happen (even occasionally).
  5. HI ... I have the triton 400 and downloaded (Ok my wife did the download for me) , the western canada map from magellan and I love it. Very detailed, but a little out dated as far as I can tell about 3 years behind.
  6. Thank you all for the advice. . and confirming the frogs name (yes he is cute) The coin we found has NO numbers on it at all, so it must be a signature item. I feel very confident that we traded very fairly and my wife and I had talked about leaving hot wheels cars at any more caches' that we find, so I guess that would be our signature item and wouldn't want them to stay in one place forever. Again thank you.
  7. The coin has no numbers on it just " found it! TFTC". And thank you . . "WE" have been out twice now and the boys loved it both times BTW what is the frogs name?
  8. Ok . . i will try to keep this short. We took our boys age 2 & 4 out a while ago for our first ever geochaching adventure ... we did not find it at that time So I went by myself a few days later and found 2 so that the boys could have a guaranteed find. we went again tonight and found one is now gone; with the hiding area totally destroyed. So we went to the second one ( which we found). We signed the log that we were there and that we put in 2 small LED keychain flashlights and took 2 pens. It was getting dark by this time and the boys wanted to go home . . then changed their minds about the pens and wanted a parachute man and (what I thought was a small magnet) smiley face with sun glasses. When we got home we found on the back of the smiley face it says Found it! TFTC ... So my question is "Should we put that geocoin ( I think thats what the smiley face is ) back? Put it in our next find? keep it? or what? Any help on this greatly appreciated.
