Sh** happens. If anybody thinks that there will never be bad press, they are only kidding themselves. Insofar as the “press” is concerned, we’ll get good and bad. We get a lot more good than bad.

Also: Being more careful while you’re searching a cache will actually make you look more suspicious. Hold that Garmin high and look like what you are, a maniac searching around the bushes for a box.

I agree with criminal here. My dad was the one how drove away in a pickup truck. He had rehid the cache down by the log. The guy that had seen him had called about 1 to 2 hours after my dad had left. My dad was at a different cache by the time that the guy that called said he had been there. We think he might of gone down and found the cache and maybe even looked in it and wanted to be a hero so he called. What gets me is that the bomb squad still blew it up after they had opened i and gone through it. My dad and RogerB have set it up with the reporter to go on a geocache and after talking to the detective my dad said that he was ready to go buy a gps and join in the fun.

  3. My dad had talked to detective Baird in the article, he was the one that he retreived the travel bug from the cache on Tuesday night. The guy that was by the road that saw him and called the bomb squad, had called about 2 hours later. It was 5 oclock instead of 8 that my dad was there. We have no doubt in our mind that the guy opened the cache and new exactly what it was before he called the police because why would he have waited so long to call. It wasn't next to the road either. It was near an old rotty tree by the pond. After my dad talked to the detective, the detective was ready to go out and buy a GPS and join the fun.

  4. I use Photoshop to resize and crop the pictures. It's a cool program and lets you do a lot to the pictures. I just barely got a camera and I love it. When I shrink them down and save it, I save them at about 75% or so and it makes the file about 50 to 80 K. I also used ACDSee, it's a whole lot less confusing than Photoshop.

  5. I found a hint on a digital photograph site. Some had posted that if the filename that you uploaded had any spaces or any wierd symbols the photo would sometimes do that. I renamed the file and re-uploaded it and it works fine.

  7. they didn't have the little mouse button like my vista does. Also, I think the mole is Heather, a couple episodes ago when her fiance was there she said she hadn't been able to really talk to anyone and then last night when she was frustrating and cussing she said to the camera man "as a fellow staff worker person(something like that), where do I go?"

That's exactly what I was saying. I was wishing that I was on the show doing that. That would have been a blast to go hiking around italy. Heather didn't know what she was doing, she had a good geocaching experiance being chased by that boar or whatever it was.

  11. Me and a friend were thinking today about a new feature. I think that under our profile there should be a rating button or something that will show a pie graph or something with the average difficulty of the caches that each person goes to. Something that shows from 2 to ten, where you just add the terrian and difficulty of the cache together to make the graph.

I don't really mind anymore. I put my caches in areas I like to hike and I visit them often. I know that posters and non-posters visit my caches and the value always degrades. I just stuff them with more junk!

Yeah, thats why the star wars characters are $4.88 and and then I have some attack of the clone cards that weren't too much. I spent about $8 on each of the caches. I might put some good stuff I find around the house in the the 5th Jedi Test that I'm doing next week. I don't think too many people will be going to that cache. It may be too hard for some, maybe even me, who knows. Next week will tell.

  14. I dont even trade if the thing is filled with junk. I may bring some cheaper things to trade for cheaper things. I just wish people would trade for equal things more. I just placed 5 caches with some nice stuff in it and I hope that they don't get trashed. They are harder to get to so I hope those that find them will trade up, there is stuff like, dvds, star wars figures in store cases, etc.

We passed a guy when we were walking through the creek and he obviously didn't think it was a clue either. I guess the Force just wasn't with us that day. icon_cool.gif

No the clue is on the Web Page. If you know about Star Wars and the movies. You'll find a thing on the page where I have different titles of the movies in paranthesis(sp?) and the combination is the Episode numbers.
