  1. Edit... Sooo... any clues if that was the cache??? Ok, really not that curious, this is more like a thread bump... J John, are you bored??? One of our caches still hasn't been found for over a year...... . John If by bored you mean waiting for Jess to bring Jakob's baby sister "j?" into the world already, then YES! And then some! But said awaiting precludes me from wandering around in the desert for extended periods of time, and that said, where's GeckoDad, TRViolin, BBB, SlabyFam or Akop etal? Do I really need go get those two lonely caches for you all? OK, done. Email sent to D-Jollymon. Game on. At least the bump worked! J

  3. Raced down to Max's early today and grabbed 1 regular and one misprint of fisnjack. I think I was the first one there, since there were 4 misprints in the cache and lots of dew on the container... Congrats fisnjack and thanks FatCats and Harmon for the excellent work! J&J&J&j
  4. Actually that's Sonny and Sandy of Team PodCacher out under Old Glory. Harmon, you should know we know not to incriminate ourselves by now!! We were just sending you some holiday ammunition... Hope everyone had a great Fourth of July! J&J&J
  5. Now those look like SD Rowdies! And there's something familiar... err... I've seen that painting before somewhere! J&J
  6. Anyone interested in Urban Race- San Diego ???? (day after John's b-day...hint hint )
  7. Hmmmm... But where are the GCs? Can't find them on the SDRP page or on geocaching.com...
  8. Like 'em? I love them!!! Couldn't have happened to a umm... "nicer" guy, congrats Harmon! Risked my marriage to my lovely wife and headed out in the "wee hours" as Harmon put it... thought I scored a full set of misprints, but it looks like I only got about half a set or so... So yeah that was me ypur pillow was talking to you about last night Harmon, sorry 'bout that. Sorta. The good news is Jess and I will be in close proximity to the perpetrator of the above offenses against your fine upstanding character, so not to worry, we'll see what we can do to make this right again. Took remaining misprints and 1xTNG#9, about a dozen remained in the cache. J&J&J
  9. Gonna go with "California Kingsnake (Lampropeltis getula californiae)", final answer. Sorry, just finished watching Slumdog Millionaire... J&J&J Edit to add link.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Kingsnake
  10. Stopped by Max's yesterday just after Harmon (actually, I drove around the turnabout until he left ). Picked up 2x TNG#8 and one misprint. Excellent work as usual! Congrats and Happy Birthday! J&J&J
  11. Jakob Stephen, Born 03/03/09 and he's BIG!
  12. Aww heck! You guy's could have probably petted that guy. That's a Rosy Boa(Coastal?) of some sort (Gecko Dad insert comment here ) Very cool snakes, sweet to see a healthy one out there in the wild... nice find! Not sure what he(?) is doing out so early in the year though, seems kinda cold for those guys still. J&J&j
  13. Stopped by Max's tonight thinking there would still be a handful of new cards and ended up the the last #7 and the last #7.5! Excellent work! Congrats condorman and duck! Sorry James if that was you pulling into the park as we were leaving.

  16. Hi, Pregnant lady here... First of all it's John &Jess not AND Jess if you are using our Geocaching names... To defend ourselves since we somehow seem to have gotten drug into the mud on this one which we haven't even attempted... About the Inferno Series: 1) We were NOT FTF on ANY of those caches in the series, only the final... 2) We gave everyone a 10 day headstart... 3) We are notorious for not logging finds in a timely manner unless it's an FTF and I ALWAYS try to log an FTF from the field (since I got my Blackberry the pattern for us has been "FTF, more later" instantaneously if I am involved in the find). John doesn't have that option from his normal cell phone. 4) We were tactical on this series as there was a leaderboard that tracked everyone's finds so you could see where you stood...so we got the final FTF in a "wiley" manner, yes... but see point 1 and 2 above...wahhhhhh!!! ~Jess&babyboy
  17. Sounds like an alcohol stove would be a good fit (best fit). Trangia makes a nice one, as does Brasslite, not sure about the new players but they all should do what you want. But better yet, build your own! Fuel is available almost anywhere (they'll even burn rubbing alcohol in a pinch, or Bacardi 151 rum for that matter... ) Here's a link to get you started, google away though, there's tons of info out there on these. http://zenstoves.net/Stoves.htm
  18. Yea, if you are in CARLSBAD. Apparently we here in Santee have to wait until Friday I saw it here in Escondido! It was moving pretty fast. The website was right on the money. It broke the horizon in the SW and moved upwards from there towards the NW. Thanks again for letting us know about it, J&J! That was pretty cool! We're in Escondido as well and saw the ISS as well as the supply container "Jules Verne" traveling ahead of it by a few minutes. They're due to dock in the next couple days or so... Here's a "pick your local" time table for viewing the ISS over the next few days. Enjoy! http://spaceflight1.nasa.gov/realdata/sigh...gion=California
  19. Coming very soon to a sky near you... The International Space Station! Better get outside NOW! Look to the WSW about 8:28 or so. If you miss it there's always tomorrow! http://spaceweather.com/flybys/search_resu...untry_radio=usa
  20. Looks like turkeys in hawaii. Yes It is the state of Hawaii...no not turkeys...not palm trees...what island? Lucky you! Is it Kauai? Yes indeed lucky you! I'll go with there's a bunch of taro in the picture, but not sure what's in the little pond... Sugercane or rice. Those are nene, the goose of Hawaii, no? And that has to be Hanalei Bay area. Hope you caught a sunset from Ke'e Beach!! J&J
  21. Hmmm... How about a nod for GeckoDad's Kumeyaay Solstice Sunrise? Congrats GD! Very cool!
  22. Bet it's this one... GC30CB The cache description mentions a nearby letterbox. It also looks to be a very interesting place! J&J
  23. Honk! I'd bet you were no more than a pub or two from here (N 55° 51.199 W 004° 14.747) at the time...
