  1. But how would you feel after walking a long distance only to find out the cache was taken before you got there? Or worse yet, you can't find it (but it's there) & now you don't know if it was moved or you just weren't able to find it? Either way no smiley. Doesn't sound like much fun to me but your mileage may vary.
  2. There, I fixed that sentence for you. The same could be said for religion, depends on the believer.
  3. A divining rod only works when it's very close to the object. If you're that close Ray Charles could find it.
  4. May be, but there's also the possibility that they needed gas. Now that's funny! I'd have at least said "borrowed" 5 bucks.
  5. Lock n locks are supposed to have a lifetime guarantee. At least maybe you can recoup that. Just don't mention you left it out in the woods. Try the auto parts store for the vinyl paint, I had pretty good luck with it one time.
  6. The problem will be that one cacher thinks his golf ball & McToy are an equal trade for your $20 item. It happens a lot. We're probably all somewhat guilty of it one time or another in someone else's eyes. Everybody thinks a little different. I believe the best outlook would be to look around & say "hey, crappy cache but I've got most of my fingers & toes plus I was able to wake up this morning on the green side of the grass & arrive at this cache so maybe everything's not so bad after all".
  7. You must surely hate yourself to voluntarily inflict such serious pain upon your person!
  8. I'm looking for a 330 bike mount & the best I found was at Amazon's auction site. Almost half off the others even eBay. Look around here & see if they've got what you want.
  9. Oh my! However do you maintain them all? And if I come to NC caching, are most of them yours? Not all in NC are his, the other 245 belong to Ron & Dianne!
  10. Cut from the Guidelines: The guidelines should address most situations, but Groundspeak administrators and reviewers are always interested in new ideas. If, after exchanging emails with the reviewer, you still feel your cache has been misjudged, your next option is to ask the volunteer to post the cache for all of the reviewers to see in their private discussion forum. Sometimes a second opinion from someone else who has seen a similar situation can help in suggesting a way for the cache to be listed. Next, you should feel free to post a message in the “Geocaching Topics” section of the Groundspeak Forums to see what the geocaching community thinks. If the majority believes that it should be posted, then Groundspeak administrators and volunteers may review the listing and your cache may be unarchived. Finally, if you believe that the reviewer has acted inappropriately, you may send an e-mail with complete details, waypoint name (GC****) and links to the cache, to Groundspeak’s special address for this purpose: appeals@geocaching.com.
  11. This sounds like the best solution if they still allow two different cache names to have the same coords. Theres one around here like that & it works pretty good.
  12. Get me a price on a bunch & I'll pick them up if it's a good deal. Was looking at them on the Gov Liquidation site but best I can make out it would be a tractor trailer load for each auction lot. I've got about a 17 yard dump & probably 4-5 hours away. I could sure make a lot of WNC cachers happy!
  13. Every cooler I own will take on water if left out in the weather. They're not designed to be totally waterproof/airtight. More holes allow more moisture. I'd fill it with beer also & invest in a cheap ammo box. Hard to go wrong with those things. Good luck tho!
  14. You did a great job on those. You should run a little "ad" in the Garage Sale forum. That acorn would be tough.
  15. Theres a few pics with the bike in them. She may carry the helment with her to eliminate any risk of it falling to the ground & getting that funky stuff all over it!
  16. Hey, maybe I should put that parking area in as an alternate route to the cache for those that love a 5/5!! Sorry ya'll had to go in that way but like you said, it's a memory that'll be with you forever! If the tag wears out contact me, you deserve the free "Lifetime Warranty".
  17. More stages would be cool, maybe some a little more "riskier". Out of the public eye is a good thing also. (For me anyway). The last one involved plenty enough stealth tactics. I just don't like somebody staring at me wondering what I'm doing especially in this day & time! Again, whatever comes we'll gladly "attempt" it.
  18. I bought my first Lock n Lock today & noticed it has a lifetime guarantee. Just hang on to the receipt & cut out the model # from the bottom. If it breaks I'll at least have a new one for 37 cents.
  19. More puzzle....no Harder.....why not! Whatever it is it'll be tough to top the original. (Not that you guys aren't capable of it though) Lookin' forward to it!
  20. Yea, I can think of about 6 that did & are still here.
  21. Devious yes but CR's got a good point.
  22. If you're referring to cork soaker Cachew Nut posted it a while back.
