Gotta agree with jaroot here. Shameful or not, it's more shameful when people come here for the sole purpose of bilking money out of the good folks on this board. This area is designed for "Geocachers" to sell their Geocaching products. But your point is well taken!

Oh yea I've saw it done, just never agreed with it. I emailed the guy asking for a fair rate if I bid but he said only if I used the $50 Buy it Now. He was a real dick about it & his Feedback shows this isn't the first time.

LHAZC, a little "Heads Up" on garage sale GPS's...... When you see a priced unit & wonder if it's a good deal, check ebay. See what the going/asking rate is & also click on "Completed Auctions" for a true sold price. Google it also. You wondered if it had American Basemaps. A quick click on the sellers username shows a lot of caches found in Wisconsin & Michigan so chances are..... Don't get over concerned about shipping. Most GPS's will fit easily in a Flat Rate box or envelope for $4.95. If the seller wants more than that you're being jacked so that makes you wonder how honest they are with the description anyway. You missed a good deal here & I'm surprised it lasted this long. I'm just not a Garmin fan or I'd have bought it 2 weeks ago. Be patient, more will come along.

IS THIS STILL AVAILABLE? If it's not I've got one for that price. New as far as I can tell, cable, 2 or 3 pieces paperwork. No box or Manual but it's available online free. Has screen protector too. Just a bit much for me. I'm too old school to figure it out & will stick to the classics.

I just got it. It appears new with no waypoints or anything entered. The clock was off (on map screen) so while attempting to set it via the online manual (didn't get one) the page it describes is not what I'm seeing. Should I do an update/upgrade? This one says "Firmware Version, Date1, 3, 0, 56, 2007/12/07". "Sirf Version, Date: GSW3.2.4" Any that make sense?

$400 for a Chinese made pocket knife? I believe he forgot to use the decimal between the 4 & 00. "Four dollars".

This is all sounding better than I expected so maybe I'll like it. I wasn't aware I could go paperless with it. I was just wanting an updated/modern GPS! I'll post back what I find when it arrives. Thanks for all the useful info!

I couldn't find much in the archives but what's the general thoughts on the Triton 500? From what little I could find it seems they didn't deliver as advertised but is it still a good accurate unit? Found what may be a decent deal on one but still wanna hear some feedback if possible. Thanks

I think a lot of people felt that way in the beginning. Now he's the main reason to turn it on. The best thing I like about him is he's actually playing the game unlike so many idiots who just wanna be on TV a couple times. He has done his homework. Yea, I'd say our prizes aren't enough to get him excited but he would be a good one!

That might be a tad high. There currently is a new one on ebay for less than $60 (no bids yet) I may be wrong but seems like $25-$30 is about average. I bought a like new 330 for $35. Hey, you can always go down in price but ya can't go up! Good luck with it.

It is very possible welcome to the forums all I was looking for was maybe a kind person that had the gps I was looking for and I got ripped apart Theres one here for $130 plus shipping. Sounds like a decent deal. Hope you find something.
