  2. Seems like another case of play the game like I want you to or don't play it.
  3. when i had my username changed.it took maybe 3 days.thats good service
  4. [i needed to attach a bike lock because it is placed right next to the water and it'll flood occasionally]
  5. I see nothing wrong with the names. But that's just my opinion until the do gooders say I can't have a opinion
  6. When I first saw these, I bought one thinking they would make awesome cache containers. I removed the cardboard insert, dropped in some trinkets and tossed it in the back of my truck. A couple months later, it had half an inch of standing water in it. An inspection revealed no visible fail points in either the seal or the box itself, so I can't say how the water got in. All I can say for sure is that the term "watertight" appears to be a misnomer. I have used these for a few caches.and after several mths i've had no problems with water getting into them. But they are a bit pricey
  7. My wife has used that site several times for our grandkids partys and she seems to be happy with them.but of course shes not buying the real cheap stuff either.all the kids seem to like their goodie bags too
  8. Well Whiteboy47 the basic idea behind all of these caches is that they are all going to be adopted by the Office of State Parks and maintained by the state as part of an effort to get another sector of the public visiting the historic sites. How about contacting the owners of the caches already in those locations and see if they are interested in cooperating with this project? We have looked at this but it would not bring anyone who has already found it back to the area. Ok i'm not tryen to stir the pot here. But your saying two things here you want another sector of the public to visit. Then you turn around and say that it wont bring anyone back.It just sounds like your tryen to bend the rules for some new smilies
  9. first off that is a bad idea.but you say there is caches already at the sites so why do you need another cache at the same site.
  10. after 14 mths of caching i only have 6 grids left to log that fizzy.then on to the next challenge
  11. you might want to ask this over at the gps and technology forum.I'm sure somebody over there can help you.some pretty smart folks over there
  12. Makes for a good case that if you don't reside in the state or town that the cache is in.You shouldn't be allowed to log a SBA but you could log a NM log.just a thought
  13. I just pretend I'm a mushroom. They usually go away after a while. I pick mushrooms. They're yummy. i have been told mushrooms make for some good tea.
  14. Besides the locals that i run into on FTF hunts. There is one cacher that lives about a hr away from me in another town. That in the last yr i have run into atleast 5 times in other cities and even crossed pathes in a different state 800 miles away.We always have a good laugh everytime we run into each other as thats the only time we see each other is when we're out geocaching.
  15. WOW thats great concrats.and here i thought i was doing good getting a FTF for 13 mths in a row.My hat is off to you sir
  16. I think with a rating system you might make some folks afraid of hiding a cache.and their idea of a hide might be a really good one.but are afraid of how people would rate their hide some folks are like that.but on the other hand maybe it would be good too.It might cut down on the number of cache's that get archive so quick or stay out there with a NM forever
  17. Age before i go into the woods 47 Age while i'm in the woods 19 i'll go up that tree- no let me hang off the cliff to get the cache Age when i get home after a day in the woods 90

  19. For some reason I have this picture in my mind of Barney fife running around yelling illegal cache illegal cache
  20. One word: Nebraska. (just teasing, of course. I know that you get up into the well populated state of South Dakota every now and again) i lived in Scottsbluff Nebraska for a short time along time ago and this just made me laugh.
  21. Well, I think it just got a whole lot easier! LOL maybe they wont have to use a PAF now on a 1/1.5
  22. I have one cache out there that's not real evil but seems to give everybody a hard time.It started out as a 1/1.5 but have since moved it to a 2 diff.As most people that find it have to use a PAF.All I did was take a baseball cut the leather back drilled a hole in it and placed a bison tube in it then the leather flap goes back in place just right. I then placed this at the local college baseball field in a small group of trees like only 4 with some weeds and grass around them right behind home plate so you might think it's just a foul ball.it's not covered up it's just sitting right by a tree in the grass saying here I am find me.GZ1Z9P0 is the number if you would like to read some of the logs I just laugh each time I get one.
  23. Hey Fox_Trot i have 5 dogs but i don't take them out with me caching.but your more then welcome to join us anytime on our cache hunts

  25. I recently went on a trip to KS and did some caching while i was there and what do i see while i'm looking at the logs a cacher from my area was also up there caching.I also picked up a geocoin in AK on my way there. I get home and logged it and was checking some of the names on who had found this coin. One name jumped out at me this person had logged this coin in CA and now she is in town logging some of my cache's.It Turns out she's the daughter of a friend of mine who also caches .It's a small world twice on one trip
