The problem with allowing more characters has to do with how multiple choice items are displayed within a Wherigo Player app--especially Garmin's. The player will display as many characters as possible in the button, the remaining characters being clipped. Thus, what you'd see for your first answer in a player is something like "Global Positi" and that's about it. By enforcing a maximum length on several text boxes, Kit prevents such problems before they happen.
