  1. sent monies via paypal for 20, and will send paper trail tomorrow via snail mail.
  2. I almost always take pictures when im caching, sometimes of the cache itself and contents, and usually of the general area, not really the hiding spot.. although i did that on one of my first finds and the owner sent me flame mail and ended with since your a newbie just remove the pic and i wont delete your log. my first feeling was to send him back e-mail telling him what to go do with himself, especially since his profile says he is a teacher and should know better how to deal with people. but in the end i just sucked it up and did what asked since i was/am a newbie. on one of my caches thats a multi i had a cacher place coordinates in his log for the final cache and i sent them email asking them to just remove the coordinates..
  3. I would have no problem with finding water in a cache as long as its sealed. depending on the location it might even be a welcome find.
  4. if you are that offended by it you need to relax a bit and pull that redwood tree out of your a**
  5. i dropped off a yjtb in a cache last night and a cacher who had already visited the particular cache went back and took the jeep.. rather poor taste i would say, but ive done it too when i saw a geocoin in a cache i already visited.. what can ya do?
  6. no i wouldnt pick that up, i find large tb's with cinder blocks, and any large heavy, ackward items attached to be rather dumb... just my opinion.

    Tb Question

i send my bugs out how i want them to be. if you think something should be different its always best to ASK THE OWNER! and on another note, when i find bugs in bags with big tags on them i find that extremely annoying and usually dont pick those bugs up. as well as tb's with cards with a list of demands on them. let them stay there for others. IMO a travel bug is to travel, pick mine up and move it to another cache, whether it be the same state, another state, or even another country, just move the thing already!! if it has a specific goal them thats fine and dandy if you can help, but move it already!
  8. you people sicken me!!!!! you and Gordon West. blech... Chris - KF6JAX
  9. mr mailman brought mine to me today! yeaaaaaaaaaaa.. Jeep TB # 4024 although i had to look that up online since it doesnt say that anywhere on the tag or jeep, just has a 6 letter combo as the tracking number. anyways will move it along after we spend some quality time together.
  10. i can get it into pdf format.
  11. Luckily I have not been hurt/injured at all. however.. weekend before last i was out on a cache adventure with my 2 boys, 9 and 4, we scored 2 and were on our third for the day which we found the area ok and started up the trail just to see another cacher coming down the trail. seeing he also had a gpsr in hand we started talking and identified ourselves and such and were conversing when i hear my youngest son screaming he hurt his head. at first im thinking he fell except i see him and he is holding his head and blood is gushing out of it. so i get him back to my car and the other casher who i was talking goes back to his car and gets some first aid supplies and we clean him up (lots of blood) and use antiseptic wipes and such and get the bleeding to stop and find out theres a quarter inch hole in my sons head thats pretty deep. wound up my oldest son slipped on a rock and got mad so he picked it up and chucked it, his younger brother just happened to be in the way. 4 hours in the emergency room and 3 stiches later all was well. suposedly an accident, but we wonder, you know how kids are... and yes we went back and scored the cache.
  12. So, i received a email today saying that i have been shipped the jeep tb i requested. anyone else? just curious, im thinking if several others did as well we may see a large population of them around here soon.
  13. No case. i think that would just make then disappear that much quicker into peoples personal collections. but either way i want some, ill take $20 or so worth.
  14. I have a hard time understanding how someone could afford a GPS which is $100 or more, and not be able to buy a $5-6 dogtag. im not rich by any means, but come on. i hear people complain all the time about not having any money, yet they eat out every day for lunch and dinner at fast food resturants and have the starbucks coffee in hand in the morning or at night. maybe just enjoy moving bugs if that is really the case.
  15. Mines similar, I have a antique finish usageocoin that i log into and out of any cache i find, i simply click it below my log when i log my visit and remove it afterwords. if i drop a travel bug off as well i will log that as a note saying i dropped off whatever bug. although my geocoin does travel with me always, even when not caching, fits nicely in my change pocket in jeans or shorts.. My Coin

    Geocoins

the joy of geocaching coins and the green man coins from geocachetreasure.com are nice coins, but they are not trackable through geocaching.com or Groundspeak.com. i have 3 out there already that i attached dog tags to and 4 more on my desk right here i recieved yesterday that are waiting for dog tags which are in the mail. (darn Groundspeak is slow, i ordered these the same day and it took 2 days before i got confirmation of shipping of dog tags, but these coinds were here already. anyways i drilled a hole in each coin and attached a dogtag.. i also dropped some solder in there so the chain cant be opened. and hopefully wont be cut or broken open.. look below.. Enjoy.
  18. i have not seen any of these cacher cards either, just business cards. i have met a couple of cachers though... bd_chris
