  1. If I look for one that's not been found for a long time and I don't find it, I post a Needs Archived.
  2. I just tried this on a current version of Firefox and the map takes me first to Seattle WA, a few thousand miles away. But, later as the caches are loaded it takes me back to my home coordinates. But, the Search Results show "722 Caches Displayed" when the PQ contains 993 caches, and there is the one lost cache (GC1A8C) a few hundred miles away in New York. And, GC1A8C doesn't appear to be in the PQ.
  3. It appears to be a bug.
  4. I wish I'd get my 1K PQ's so that I could click on them. I'm beginning to think that 1K PQ's aren't ready for prime time and that we are Alpha testing it.
  5. That's true if they run. My are a little flaky as to if they are going to run or not. We'll see what happen tomorrow.
  6. Now my scheduled PQ's show up at 8AM local time, with a run time of about 5AM Pacific. Are these 1K PQ's loading down the servers too much? Or, are we going to get the 1K PQ's later than we use to get the 500 ones? Or, did some one kick start the server?
  7. I wonder if the frog has thought about changing the way they schedule the running of those PQ's that are scheduled. If I understand correctly, they start running scheduled PQ's at midnight Pacific time. Now, they know where we live, because we've provided our home coordinates. Right? Why not schedule the PQ's of the cachers that live in a certain time zone to run at midnight local time. So, if you live in England, or along the prime meridian, your scheduled PQ's would start running at run at 0000 GMT. If you live in the Eastern US time zone, they'd start running your scheduled PQ's at GTM +4. If you lived in the US Pacific time zone, they'd start running your PQ's at GTM +6, And, so on. Wouldn't that spread the load out on the servers? Just a thought.
  8. Scheduled 1K PQ's still not running this AM. But, I did get my smaller one.
  9. Yep. If I just make a copy of the 1K PQ's they will run. I also have a very small PQ, under 50 waypoints, that won't run at all.
  10. Ever since I changed all my scheduled PQ's to 1K they have NEVER run. And, that includes 1 PQ that is still set at 500. But, if I copy them and turn them on to run they run almost instantly. What's going on?
  11. I know what cache Ohioyeti is talking about and we found it when the pond was frozen. I don't climb trees, I don't walk on logs, I don't walk on water unless it's well frozen. The three of us spotted it about the same time, but the closest one to it signed it. We didn't want to put too much of a load on the ice by gathering around the cache. There are three of us that hunt together on a regular basis and for many reasons. The comradery, the ability to harass the h___ out each other unmercifully , saving wear and tear on a vehicle, and with gas approaching $3.00 a gallon, saving a little money. And, my feeling is if one of a group finds it everyone in the group can sign the log. You were there. Sure, the finder could re-hide it, the other cachers could then retrieve it one at a time, but what would that prove. Just MHO. W8TTS (Ted)
  12. You probably did this, but I've got to ask. But you did select the "Pocket Queries Ready for Download" tab, didn't you?
  13. Anyone else not getting their 1K PQ's this morning? I ran a smaller one (< 500), and it ran. Now, as soon as I post this, the copies that I made of the original scheduled ones show up. But, the originally scheduled ones (now turned off) didn't run as expected.
  14. +1 on that suggestion too. It really makes sense. Yep. #1 on my list too.
  15. +1 +2 Or, make it sortable. So, you can have it your way or any way.
  16. You submit PQ. The hamsters crank out your PQ. When it is done, an email is sent to you with the link. At that point, the data is static. If you treat the link in the email as an email attachment, then there is no difference between existing delivery and new delivery. Yea. I know how PQ's are created. But, from what I've read the way the new ones will come is if the contain from 1-500 they will come as an attachment, and the ones from 501-1000 will come with a link. For the 501-1000, after you get the email you have to go to the link and download the zip file. So, it looks like there is a difference. It would just be better if you could say send them all to me as a link no matter their size.
  17. Now that I've slept on this. I do have another question. First, I don't like the possibility of receiving PQ's in two different ways. It will complicate thing, and I know of some people that it'll confuse. So, I'm hoping that we will have the option of saying, "I want all my PQ's, no matter the number of waypoints in it, to be send via the download method." Will we?
  18. This upgrade to 1K PQ's is really great. I guess my one question is, how long will the page be available for downloading? With the emails, we had the information for as long as we needed it.
  19. The other two ran at 2:07 PST. If you haven't received them yet, please let check your spam folder and if they're aren't there, let us know. No. Those were copies of the ones that didn't run, which I received. If you look at my profile the ones that didn't run have the same title as those that did run minus the 5 x's.
  20. Why aren't my scheduled PQ's running as they should? Yesterday they ran fine. Today only 1 of 3 ran. And, this has happened before. I had one scheduled to run today, that last ran 4/2/2010 1:11:55 AM PST. Normally they run very close to the time they last ran. By 2 AM PST (5 AM here) it hadn't run. Does this have something to do with the work being done on the PQ's?
  21. When you click on the Preview Pocket Query icon on the http://www.geocaching.com/pocket/default.aspx page and you are taken to the Running Pocket Query page http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?... On that page are some strange places to link to after doing the Preview. Other than using the Back button to take you back to Your Pocket Queries page (which should be linked), you are given the following underlined links at the top of the page: Geocaching > Hide and Seek a Geocache > Search for Geocaches Why would you want to go to Hide and Seek a Geocache? Would't be logical go go back to the Preview Pocket Query? Further down the page you are given the following underlined links: PQ NAME Edit Gallery New Search Edit I'll agree with. But, "Gallery", why would you want to see the Gallery of up to 500 caches? And, "New Search"? That's a real strange place to go to when you're previewing caches. Ted
  22. The old version of Create/Edit Geocache Pocket Query handled dates very nicely. If you tried to enter 6/31/2010 it would change it to 6/30/2009. The new version of Create/Edit Geocache Pocket Query doesn't do this. It's funny when it will accept 2/31/2009, and actually run with it. Needs a little tweaking. Ted
  23. Yep. They broke it. But, my normally scheduled PQ's did run this AM.
