I have a Rino 130 (less than 1 year old) and I love it! The radio feature is junk, but it is waterproof and I am pretty rough on things so I am willing to ignore the lousy sound quality because the rest of the features. Many of my buddies use FRS and they say they can hear me just fine, so it seems like the reception is the problem. Good luck. Shonzo

I have a Rino 130 and tested a 120 and the 110. I found the quality of the frs to be poor at best because of lousy speakers, but I love my 130 because of the electronic compas. I would recomend buying a set of frs/gmrs radios with rechargable capabilities because if you use them often, the savings in batteries will outweigh the additional cost of the charger. I use the frs feature all the time, and as long as you are in open spaces a few miles is not uncomon. I have also used it in the mountains and been really suprised at the distances.
