  1. I am just having issues with getting used to the new app. I also have serious issues with the GPS functions. The other app seemed a lot more stable as you approached GZ. This one is all over the place. I am not sure what is causing that. I guess it's a huge learning curve change, but I now prefer my Garmin now versus the app - not good when I am doing the target of opportunity cache that I don't have loaded in my GPS.
  2. I have pretty much hit anything nearby. I need to expand in order to start getting things further out.
  3. Thanks for the replies so far. I really want that 500 coin, but I can't get off that much during my lunch break. I have to adjust to this schedule.
  4. Wait, you been doing this since 2009 and have 309 caches found? I don't cache often myself, but Waymarking helps me keep going nuts. Yes, I had to take a few years off for "Other" reasons. If I told you why I'd have to kill you. I am still hopefully gonna get 15 or 20 caches a month.
  5. Are there any weekenders out there? I just changed jobs after 22 years and I just have, for the most part, weekends to do caching! I am sad that I can't do streaks or stuff without taking vacation. Any advice or help to stay sane with just 2 days a week to do this hobby. Thanks. Dan415
  6. OK. I have been doing this for about 6 months now and I've accumulated a fair amount of gear that I have in my "Official" Geocache backpack. My inventory is a hydration pack, extra logs for caches, snack items, my GPS, my iPhone, a headlamp, a flashlight, a black light flashlight, CITO trash bags, assorted swag, my multi tool, a small knife, bungee cords, pens, pencils, and assorted small tools. Any ideas on other tools or gear I should consider? Thanks. Dan415
  7. OK. I have 2 new TBs in my new cache. I cannot transfer them to my new cache... How do I do that?
  8. I picked up some sweet cache swag. I got some really nice Cache Glass beads to drop off at selected sites. I am pretty stoked.
  9. I want to know what items are good to leave in caches. I am not much of take and leave person. I am in this for the hunt. However, I feel a little guilty after I sign the log and don't take and leave something. Ideas please. Thanks.
  10. The Intro App is what got me interested again. I've been a member since 2009 but got side tracked with my kids and work. I am back again since a good friend of mine is doing this. As with everyone of my hobbies, they all cost money. I like the app and plan on purchasing the full app next month. The app does limit the # of caches in your area, but I am fine with that until I get fully spooled up on this again. Free is just that, free. You get what you pay for. Anyway, I am a happy camper and my iPhone is happy too. - Dan
