I received a Red Ryder Range model BB gun with a compass in the stock and....oh wait, that was LAST year. My girlfriend upgraded me from the eTrex legend (whopping 8 mb or RAM) to the Vista HCx with 8 Gigs. as well as Fishing Hotspots of the Northeast. I had heard about geocaching, but had never tried it, now I'm hooked.

Hello all. New here myself. Just received a Vista HCx for xmas. Wow, what a difference from the old Garmin etrex legend. That one had 8 Mb of memory....was able to load 12 USGS maps from mapsource at most in that one. Love the addition of external memory card..8 Gigs available now, just insane how fast and far technology grows in just 3 years. Looking forward to finding my 1st cache, perhaps this weekend.
