  1. yes.... it takes time to set up the proper pq's for a road trip. trying to get the distances down such that you can get caches near a particular route. If you drive anywhere close to cache dense areas (big cities), a 500 mile road trip could take 5-6 pq's and sifting, sorting, load into GSAK, export, load into expertGPS to see what you have, then tweak and tune the queries. It would be much easier and effecient to be able to ask for what you want right up front. My 2 cents worth!
  2. One of our local old mining towns is sponsering a Geocaching weekend in October. (Pancake breakfast, poker run, BBQ dinner, band, etc) Here it is if you want to check it out!.
  3. Well, the house is still there, but it's just a pretty much a typical tract home now. I regret that the photos didn't come out, perhaps I will try again. There is absolutly nothing that distiguished this house from the other homes in the area. The exterior of the house is the one in all the photos, but it has been painted to match the neighborhood. The Simpson's house is no longer what was in the press relaeses. Dang it. As a note, there is a new cache about 800 feet from the house Hidden Park by Silverbowl (if you want an idea of just where it is). No true virtual to be made there.
  4. I'll have to cruise by and check it out. It's about 6 miles from my house. If there is a virtual that can happen, then I will try!
  5. When a person picks up a TB, they would like to know where it's going. Even if it is going nowhere in particular. I have picked up TB's in the middle of the desert only to find that I have taken it in the wrong direction. It's a courtesy to other cachers to take the assumptions and guesses out of the game. Laminiated tags are the best, but even a scrawling on the tag that says "just travelling" is helpful. My two cents worth!
