Hi, I have a Garmin eTrex (the basic yellow one). It currently has v2.14 of the firmware. I see there is a new v3.70 available, but the Garmin site mentions that this is compatible with v3 or later. I tried the Web Updater and it says I have the latest version ?!? I contacted Garmin about this, asking where I might get v3 and to confirm that it would be fine with my eTrex and they didn't so much give me an answer as just responded with a link to the same download for v3.70 from a different page. My questions is this. Has anyone here done the upgrade from v2.14 - v3.xx on the eTrex and if so, did it all go fine? Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I was pretty sure I already knew what the answer would be. It's just that I seem to be having a problem getting them locally and GC clearly states that they do not ship outside the US. I'll look through the list of partners and see if one of them will.

Hi, Ok, this may be a silly question, but does the TB system have a pre-configured list off all TB tracking code/activation code pairs that have been made or are they added as and when activated. In other words, could I create my own TB tag with my own custom Tracking Code and Activation code, and then use these when activating a new TB? Thanks
