Hey, I'm not a lumberjack, or a fur trader.... I don't live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dogsled.... I do not know ,Bill or Susie or Tom from Ontario although I'm certain they're really really nice. I know bullockj,mm_dancer and kayakers2. I know what a nano a L&L and an ammo can are for. I know when the left overs are gone, the dish does not go in the dishwasher, it goes into the forest. I do not drive a Porche with a GPS I walk in the woods with a GPSR I can find a bison tube in a cedar tree,in the dark, with a flashlight in 1 hand and a pen it the other. Minus 40 does not stop me from caching, it just means a second pair of socks. I'm not afraid to lie to a muggle or order a Happy meal ,just for the toy. I know if you snooze ,you lose And a FTF usually gets you a Double Double Canada is the second largest landmass! The first nation of hockey! And has the best Geocachers anywhere My name is Coman123 And I am Canadian! Ps Another unknown fact about Canada is the spelling C eh! N eh! D eh! And if that don't win me the cointest Eh! I'll eat no more beaver sandwiches. Coman123

What part of geocaching do you like most?
coman123 replied to fishman1130's topic in General geocaching topics
Finding them is good, but what I really enjoy about caching is when someone finds one of my caches and writes a very discriptive log about some their adventure in signing the log book see GC1RRWM and GC1TTE2 logs for example, I just love them. Ohh forgot to mention, when the log is really funny, I go out to the woods and pee LOL -

Go to your profile and take out your e-mail address. -
Use "write note" instead of "log find" Allows you to make an entry with-out causing your count to increase

try this again, oregon 400t vs colorado
coman123 replied to georuerue's topic in GPS technology and devices
I just got the Colorado 300 and I love it, far more accurate then my Explorist 500. Other then the darker screen, I see no concerns with it Coman123 -
The simple solution would have a log book for members and one for non members, 2 separate FTF prizes, one for members and one for non's Have them put in their online logs witch book they signed Done

I have a TB hotel, about 20 minutes from my home I visit ofter to pick up and drop off TB's all the time, not necessarily at the same time. It is well known to a lot of cachers and is on a major highway that crosses Ontario. best spot to drop a bug to get it down the road. Coman123

First of all "who are you hiding from" The cops? Drug dealers ? An in-law? LOL Just kidding. What I do is have my gps in hand, 3 or 4 caches ready to go in my back pack minus the names and I go hiking. If I come across a great spot, bam I name the cache, mark the location and plant it. Make sure if your hiking, to mark the location of your automobile, so you can get out of the woods. Otherwise your hiding from everyone. Happy Caching Coman123

Will a gps with an electric compas get me closer to a cache?
coman123 replied to Brassine Family's topic in How do I...?
My Magellan Explorist has an electronic compass, when I get close to the cache I switch to compass mode, it tells am which direction to go, as well as a count down in Feet or meters to the cache, I usually get with in 1-7 feet of Ground zero, it is a definite help to me Coman123 -
