    Just applied the update and went out for a quick test - All seems well now :-) Thanks to all involved, and the OP for the thread.

    Any more news on this problem yet? I have a new Garmin 700 with exactly the same issue. I have emailed Garmin support today, I will post the reply here if it is helpful.
