Thanks Overkill, The problem was the "extract all" option to unzip the file went "missing" after I downloaded the file, had to restore my system to before the download, then I was able to unzip. Very strange, but all works now!

The gps can only show 1 map (topo, city navigator, etc..) at a time. It doesn`t overlay. This is why you have to switch back and forth.

Burn the Topo file to a disc, then load onto laptop. I did this with Garmin MetroGuide, so I guess it will work with Topo?

After downloading file how do you get it into Mapsource?

Easy. Don't feel bad Red90 had to explain it to me too. Simply rename the Mapsource.exe file of one version to another name. Then create a new shortcut and call that renamed file. The Mapsource.exe is inside the zip file you downloaded, just unzip it. Thats very funny, easier said then done. I`ve downloaded (saved) version 6.13.7 from gpsinformation.........now what?

I would like to run both versions 6.14.1 & 6.13.7 Can someone explain how (I need the really dumb person instructions please) I have read how in the other posts but syill have no clue. I did have a previous version installed but since I updated the maps to City Navigator 2009 it automatically installed the new version (6.14.1) Please and Thank you

Although more then you want to spend I`ve got a Garmin 60cx I use on the ATV in heavy forest, reception I get is in the range of 3-6m, very reliable
