  1. I'm moving out of the area in August. My cache, GC1TRJ8, has it's final on my property. Assuming I sell the house (crossing my fingers) and the new owner is willing, I'll need someone to watch after the cache for me. This is a 7-stage multi that I put some work into. It involves stages at a business, two churches, and on several private lots. Comments have been very positive. It's become a good place to find a TB. Let me know if you can help. Thanks! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...=y&decrypt= (Note: I reposted this because I couldn't change the title in my original post, and I wanted to be clear that this was in Rockford MI... since this forum covers Illinois too.)
  2. I'll be moving out of Rockford MI in August 2010. My cache, GC1TRJ8, has it's final on my property. So, I need someone to do this cache, and when they get to the final, buy my house. Or... if I can convince the new owners of my house to let the cache remain, I'll need someone local to maintain it. Have a look at the cache and see if its the sort of thing you'd be willing to look after, starting this coming August. Thanks, Eric
  3. Am I too late? In St. Joseph, GCJB7G "Changes In Attitudes" -- great view. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...e59b0&log=y
  4. If you are passing through the Grand Rapids area on your way, any of the Two Happy Hikers multi caches would be worth making a stop. I've done three; they have several more that I haven't tried yet. The three I've found have been astonishingly well done. You might also drop a line to beangeek, my brother, who is stationed in the coast guard in St. Ignace. He's been doing some caching since he moved up there this year. ayryq
  5. I put a Zagg InvisibleSHIELD on mine and don't keep it in a case of any kind. The screen protector is pretty good, and doesn't interfere at all. This one: http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/garmin...ins-shields.php I have a legend hcx and bought a second one for my brother (beangeek) who has a vista hcx. Both fit perfectly. Eric
  6. Under setup/display you'll need to change "backlight timeout" to "stays on." This will kill your battery, I think it's better to get used to having it turn on without the backlight. Tap the power button once it's on to switch between levels, and hit the "enter" key (push down on the stick) to accept the level. This is kind of a pain because you have to hit a button to get the backlight to come on, and all the keys do something. Usually the rocker is the best bet for switching on the backlight. The power button switches between backlight off, backlight 100%, and whatever is set in the setup/display screen. Eric
