Thank you for all the reviews, Opalsns, sends me 4 or 5 drawings to go thru, I mght make some revisions ,like 09 coin, by adding our first coin into the second coin, so Opalsns doesn't really know which drawing is the coin until I get the sample coins, Landsharkz says the mint should have them ready for the end of January, Thanks,KD1EJ
Yay for brothers!
THANK YOU, Hope to make it to Darlington Raceway someday,Soon,KD1EJ

Chickie-Babe,
How are you my friend!!!!!!!!
Yup , That lil rooster had a problem, I tried a new spray sealer and it bubbled, so I had to sand them down a retouch the paint. The Yellowy colors were the culprits so I stayed with the bues and greens and it's still beautiful.. It'll be in the , "School Supplies"
and you can't have a red hat like that untill you turn 50!!!!!!!!!!!LOL!!!
Opal
Awww... thank you Opal.
PS... I'm telling you, that I am DUE a red hat! LOL! I shall have to get creative and make my own!

Opalsns...is your new icon...a CUPCAKE?!
I wish!!!!!MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!
This is a wooden disc sliced from old branches about 3" to 4" around.
The first one I did was for LoriDarlin.
This one is Chickahominy's . I put it as an avatar to surprise her.
Yes, I did mean avatar.
That is GORGEOUS!! And I have to say, it might be better that it's not a cupcake, because that is way too pretty to ever eat.
I love the way the crow is protecting the rooster under his beak. It makes me feel safe.

Even better that gardengorilla is in Australia. The distance to Australia will help offset the distance to Sweden. Those seem to be the farthest mailing points from the US.
Yes, it is a race to get the last two coins and the tracking coin, back to me in South Carolina via USPS.

Cool, hey I'm happy to be on either team
Since you have this East/West/North/South thing set up, does that mean that instead of picking a person off the list, we are supposed to send it to the next person on the list? Doesn't really matter to me, just want the clarification.
Good question. Nope, you don't have to send it to the next person on the list. Perhaps someone from each team can figure out the send order to maximize your mailing miles. Or, you can be totally random about your mailings. LOL! I'm excited, either way.
I know who I will send to first.
Now to pick out the coins

Okay, we do have some alternates, so if you believe that for any reason, you will not be able to fulfill the mission requirements, please speak now.
I will divide the names into two teams. We will have the packages going from East coast, to West coast, to Canada, to Australia, to the UK... it is going to be fun to watch! Thank you for your interest.
-
Hey, Chicka! Hope you're weathering the cooler temperatures ok!
I had a thought about your mission. Given the interest, have you considered turning this mission into a cointest/race?
I think you're up to (if not already past) 30 participants. These 30 could be divided into two groups of 15, and the "race" portion could be a friendly competition among us coiners. This way, everyone still gets to participate, and it doesn't necessarily take an entire year? The prize for the winning group would be bragging rights, as I'm not sure anyone has 15 coins ready to offer as prizes!
Just a thought...looking forward to seeing this mission in action!
Hmmm... let me see if I understand. Or rather, let me change the mission to this.
Two groups of 15, with myself serving as the beginning person and ending person of the cointest.
I will mail out two packages of three coins to someone on Team 1 and someone on Team 2.
I will randomly pick names to be on the two teams. I reserve the right to "arrange" the teams so that equal number of overseas players (if there are any) will be on each team.
The package will contain a third coin that each participant will have to log as discovered in order to get credit for their team.
I will choose a member from the winning team, at random, to receive a special geocaching package from me. (Will contain at least one coin and one pathtag.)
Teams are upcoming.
-
Okay, that's 27-28 people. I'll cut it off there and will generate a list of names tomorrow morning. Thanks for the interest!

Winter weather is keeping me inside these days. I have been thinking about this mission for some time now. It seems this is as good a time as any to put it out there and see if there is any interest. Introducing....
The Pick and Pass Mission by Chickahominy
Twenty five people may participate.
Your addy must be on the Geocoin Forum Mailing List.
I will send out two coins to someone (chosen at random) on the Pick and Pass Mission List.
The receiver will keep one of the coins, add one coin to the mission and send it on to the person of their choosing from the list.
That receiver, will in turn, choose a coin, add a coin and send it on.
So each participant receives two coins to choose from.
In the end, the last person, sends the remaining two coins back to me.
I choose 25 people because at 2 weeks a person.... 25 people will take approximately one year.
Interested? Let's hear it!

I can hide some in SC.... email sent.

Just checking in and reading the thread. The coins from the 9 9 9 event were beautiful and highly collectible. I would hope a similar coin and similar dispersement methods would be employed this time. It all seemed to go so well for the Cloud 9 Events.
Hoping I'm in to co-host the SC Event

Delirious...
My husband and I have been getting along so well lately. I fall in love with him more each day. I'd have to say that I deliriously happily in love
Thanks for the cointest.. Opal. Please exclude me from the coin drawing.

I'm planning on trading a handful of the Ginkgo Fall Artist Edition coins. They are antique gold with yellow translucents. Only 25 were made. I'm specifically looking for coins from my seeking list. Drop me a note via my geocaching profile if you'd like to arrange something.
Here is a photo:
Email sent, fingers crossed
Sending email : -)

Thanks for the cointest, Dr. Neal.
My husband and I tell each other, I Love You, all day long. We also tell each other during the night while we are sleeping!
I am honored to have a Kathy's coin, so please don't take this as an entry.
-
Awww... I was so close.
Thanks for the drawing, Tsun.. and thank you for the beautiful coins.

I found one in a cache yesterday. I was in Wilmington, NC.

Beautiful coin! I've sent an offer of my personal for a trade. Crossing fingers...
A friend's husband drilled holes in a few of my coins for me. Don't know how he did it... just glad he did. I have an Earth Turtle hanging from a leather cord on my pocketbook.
This is an unusual trade offer...but I was wondering if anybody might be willing to trade for one of my personal coins (or multiple, I'm not sure what a fair exchange rate would be in this case!), in exchange for drilling services to four of them
My personal is non-trackable, but I was thinking about setting some of them free to travel with some travel tags that I just ordered, since I haven't released many bugs or coins lately... I did a quick forum search on drilling coins, and while I could borrow a drill from my mom, it looks like it might be a bit of a project for this apartment dwelling girl (I'm not sure where I'd find a drill press, lol!)
So...are there any experienced drill press owner/operators that would be willing to drill some coins for me, in exchange for my personal?
Here's a photo of my coin:
Also, if anyone who doesn't have a drill wants to trade, email me! I'm not seeking anything in particular, but I like personals or can take a look at your trade list

ha ha ha.... <evil laugh>
Where will the mission start?? I mailed off two packages today. One to a Team Victory member and the other package to a Team Winners member.
Are they both in the same country?? I wonder.
I did have a strategy in my mailing. Y'all make not recognize it.. but it's there.
Clarification... This mission / cointest is not about accumulating miles. The mission/cointest is to see which team can get the package BACK to me first. I have included the guidelines in a printout sent along with the missions.
There is a "traveling" coin included with the mission. TB2EADC and TB2EAZ2
When you receive the package, you are to log the "traveling" coin as a found. Grabbing it from the hands of the previous person. This way, we KNOW that you have the mission IN HAND and that it passed your way.
Pick or Pass... Which coin from the mission will you choose? Which will you pass on?
HAVE FUN!
