Items for sale are: Garmin hard Neoprene Carry Case - Part no: 010-10850-10 - original retail price: $33 and Garmin Vehicle power cable - Part no: 010-10723-06 - original retail price: $28 Will sell the case for $20 and the Car charger for $20 or both for $35, plus you pay actual shipping charges. PM me if you are interested and I'll get you a shipping cost. Cheers, Gadget
  2. I just received my car charger from Garmin last week and promptly took it out to the jeep to try it out and CRASH the unit screen freezes and fades out as soon as I plugged it in. Is anyone else seeing this? I'm running FW ver2.20, I have a 2gb Micro SD card with City Navigator 2009 on it, and am running 2100mah NiMH batteries. The car charger is a Garmin Oregon/Colorado DC adapter. It happens every time I plug in, some times right away, other times after a few minutes of use... It's pretty annoying. I tried it with and without the SD card in and tried reducing the number/size of GPX files just to try and get the issue narrowed down... but no luck so far. Cheers, Gadget
  3. Dell X50v, Blutooth BT-338 receiver (lasts 16+ hours on a single charge and have never seen less than 8 satellites reception on it...), 4gb CF card for music & apps, 1gb SD card for maps and GPX files, Beeline GPX, Pocket Streets, GPS Gate (shares one GPS signal with multiple apps), and of course the ubiquitous GPX Sonar app. Makes caching fun and always available as I get a new GPX file of closest 500 each week so I am always ready to Cache... Cheers, Gadget
  4. I use a gear bag from MAXPEDITION called the Fatboy Versipack. It works great because the top of the bag has velcro so I can stick my BlueTooth GPS receiver on it and it has a great view of the sky while I hike...
  5. GeoBlank and I worked on the same team and he told me about it. Apparently a previous team he was on had gone as a team event and he got hooked. So the two of us persuaded our teams manager to buy devices for the team and then we proceeded to go on several team events and thats when I got hooked. Now the kids and I look forward to going as a family. Cheers, Gadget
  6. Just curious as I just ordered the same unit (still waiting for it too...) for the same purpose. Everything has come except for the X50v itself (of course) so I am twiddling my thumbs while I wait... I ordered the Otter Case 1900 Armor for it, along with the lanyard. I plan on using Beeline and GPX sonar. I used GPX Sonar on my previous PPC and loved it, very useful tool. Happy Caching, Gadget
  7. I ordered 6 Etrex Legend's from Etronics.com for a team I used to work for and they were fast and in perfect condition, all new, unopened, in original packaging. They have them for $139 ea. last time I checked. Gadget
  8. Where is this located, I would like another for my kids. They have one of these exact units already so it would make uploading files easy... Thanks, Gadget
  9. Checking in to see how it's going with your PPC on the trail...
