I'm looking at National Geographics Back Roads Explorer package,
wondering who's had experience with it.
I have the MapSend Streets & Destinations US software from
Magellan, not impressed. Appears to be several years out of date,
and often I appear to be driving off in the field (according to my GPS).
I'm hoping National Geographics would be more up to date, and
can stay current.
I was also looking at ExpertGPS. That adds a bunch of import/export
and track/route/waypoint management functionality, but the
topo and sat images it pulls are also out of date. Both are comparable
costs right now. NG's Mid-Atlantic TOPO looks interesting too, and
covers the immediate states of interest. Pretty costly if you travel
far from home!
