thanks...i just reloaded the software from the "UPDATER". i guess there was a glitch or something i did while loading the update.

i have a big problem...after updating to recent software, i now have a blank screen and the only thing that comes up is "SOFT WARE MISSING" does anyone know what i have done and how i can fix it??? thanks.

do you have a brand name or manufacturer for the ebay antennae? if they are gilsson, that is a very good remote antennae...i bought one for $17.00 for the gps map 60cs...

thanks for the info on the foretrex 201. since i have a 60cs, i will use the foretrex mainly while hiking, walking, and jogging...i too, think the thinner size would be best and only thought i would not want to be out in the "wild" and batteries go down. i think the dc charger would do fine for in the field charging of the 201. i saw on another post that you have ordered the foretrex 201...please give us a review after you've had time to put it in use...thanks again.

i've been toying with the idea to get one of the new garmin foretrex 101 gpsr. has anyone used one? i like the idea of strapping one on the wrist...moving around or running, then able to plot your route, speed, and distance. the replaceable batteries rather than worrying about recharging while in the field. nihm batteries as spares would be a great system. any advice is welcome. thanks.

i have the new cs and city select maps. everything is good and working great. i couldn't be happier. now, i'm looking for a good topo map that will give good detail. the 100k just doesn't look like enough detail for what i need. is there a 24k detail topo available for the 60cs? similar to the usgs maps? anyone's help is greatly appreciated. i'm in louisiana, so i need more detail for bayous, swamps, lakes... there is not a lot of elevation change, but the more detail, the better. thanks.

thanks for all the replies...i too have a bean bag mount that i use on the dash, but wanted to use the suction cup antenna on the inside of the windshield, and be able to set up the cs on the console. this will get off the dash and closer to these old eyes...thanks.

have rec'd new cs and love it...good reception on weekend trip, but i'm looking for an external antenna to use in car. saw that garmin has one and gilsson is about 1/3 the price? anyone have experience with either? both? thanks.

i have a garmin gpsmap 60cs on order. i know the delays that have been talked about here. question: can someone give me a quick comparison between the magellan meridian color and the 60cs or the 76cs? should i wait on the garmin? is one brand or model better than the other? help is greatly appreciated.
