  1. When I originally registered I must have indicated that I did NOT want to be notified when new caches were released in my area. Now I've changed my mind, but for the life of me I can't find the page to make that change so that I will be notified when a new cache is set up near me. Help! Thanks, camnpete
  2. The 'Circular Reasoning' cache requires that three different waypoints be triangulated in order to come up with the exact center of the circle formed by those three waypoints. Is there a way to do this on my Garmin eTrex GPSr? If not, is there a way to calculate it manually? Thanks. Camnpete
  3. I'm a regular member who would like to upgrade to Premium Membership...how do I do that? When I try, it asks for my Subscriber ID number, which I don't know. Thanks, Camnpete
  4. I'm planning to travel to Europe and do some geocaching. When I look at the maps and 'identify' a cache, it only brings up a link to that one cache. When I look at the map for caches in the U.S. and click 'identify' it brings me up a list of 10 or 12 caches in that general area, with information about difficulty, last visit, etc. Is there a way to get a similar list of all of the caches in a small area, with descriptive information, for caches in Europe? This will make it much more convenient to select the caches we'd like to search for. Thanks
  5. Robert, Thanks. I'll be able to sleep tonight. Pete
  6. OK, I'll admit it. I'm not the brightest bulb in the chandelier but I can't figure out how to report that I've found a cache. I've been through all of the links but still can't find it...do I need a GPSr? Thanks, Pete
  7. My GPSr begins giving me erroneous directions once I enter a grove of trees. I realize that this is because it can't see the satellites, but are there any tricks I can use to get as close as possible to the cache? It's very frustrating to know that you're close, but not close enough to find the cache.
  8. Can anyone suggest how to get a list of caches in a location that is more specific than a zip code. For example, I'm looking for caches in Rancho San Antonio Park which is in zip code 95014...but there's 160+ pages of caches in that zip code and I can't tell which ones might be in Rancho San Antonio Park. Thanks, Camnpete
  9. Thanks all for the advice. Camnpete
  10. Hi, I'm just beginning to learn about geocaching and I've bought a Garmin etrex GPSR. When I look at various caches to try to find, some say something like 'use waypoint GCH12G'. How do I load this into my GPSR? Do I have to load all of the coordinates instead? Thanks, Pete
