I don't get it either. I found a lot of cool sites using this placespotting and loved the caches! I too put in a LOT of effort for a couple of caches. One was published and ENJOYED and then I submitted another and it was rejected and my first archived. If it is advertising, then why does the geocaching.com site advertise? Hypocrites...

I disagree. Drop the MapQuest crap and put the great GoogleMaps back so that we can use the site again!!!

Wow, the previous post states it to a tee! Why did GC WASTE all that time and money for "challenges" and avatars? Both are useless trash and now we don't have maps. Is there a way to get a refund on my membership? I also find it strange that GC hasn't responded to all our complaints yet. Like usual, they don't care. That is evident by the total crap that they push without QA in their releases.

I can confirm too!!! (does not matter what browser...) What prompted the downgrade in the maps? Just this morning I could use the maps like usual and now they don't even work. They NEVER refresh and I can't get the views that we ALL have come to depend on. Where is the Hybrid view??? The maps are useless without that view....well they are pretty useless now anyway. I suggest a revert back to the previous version that actually worked around the world...

Just like the previous post. With each update the site gets worse. I am not just talking about the crappy new maps, but the whole site in general. Is there a QA department at Groundspeak? Thanks knowschad for the info on the macro. I updated all 140 of my hides last night but it sure would be nice to have a pocket query that would do this once a week...

There needs to be a My Hides query similiar to the My Finds query on the Pocket Queries page. The new query would retrieve ALL information for ALL the user's hides. This includes ALL logs so that correct statistics can be calculated by tools such as GSAK. Currently, retrieving a GPX file is the only way and that method ONLY returns the last 20 logs.

In addition to the My Finds query on the Pocket Query page, there needs to be a My Hides query that will will return ALL information for all caches hidden by the user. This is needed so that ALL logs will be returned for all the caches and in turn, the correct finds per cache will be calculated in GSAK. Currently, the last 20 logs are all you can get from any query.

Any cache that requires you to compute a stage must be required to provide a link to a coordinate checking application. There is no reason that any cacher should have to blindly search for a cache without being able to validate their calculations. To make it even easier, the cache submission page should provide a checkbox that allows automatic links to be generated for stages of a cache.
