  1. I got my coins in the mail a couple of days ago (that was some fast shipping). They are strangely adorable; I love them! Thanks for the pin.
  2. Oh well. At least people are still posting pics of their bags!
  3. I'd say so. Nice work on the binder.
  4. I made up mini moo cards as a sig item using the bird design they have on their website. I figure if someone doesn't like sig cards it may still appeal to them if they like birds/animals/nature/pretty things.
  5. Wow lost it for 2 years? You must of had a big smile when you finally found it again! at the "not included." But why not? The dog may be small enough to fit in the bag, no?
  6. Whee, a gun, I think that's a new one on this thread. Do you mind my asking why you carry it? Basically, is it meant for protection from people or animals? Because if it's the former...well I was always under the impression that the country was much safer than cities. (Please let it be bears, please let it be bears!) Thanks for the pictures!
  7. I wish I had a geodog to stuff in my bag. Do you think a geo-lovebird would cut it? Can anyone tell me what the emergency blanket is made of? I've heard of it described as tinfoil and it sounds like it's a one-use thing. Also is it the same as a "space blanket"?
  8. Congrats to Finding Irish! Li-Z, those are some nice coins you have. I was looking at your first picture, and I really liked that buffalo one. Then I scrolled down some more and saw the last two. Wow! Those are some of the nicest coins I've seen! How could you have possibly chosen between them?
  9. Wow, I really like that Colorado coin. I don't think New York's would look as nice. Too bad...
  10. I live in a city so it would be impossible to wait for everyone to clear out. But I usually only have to wait a few minutes for everyone to look away.
  11. I poke at dead stuff. Yes, take pictures of it too. I've boiled some animal skulls, skinned and stuffed birds...But I get grossed out by medical stuff. How about an animal bone instead! Good luck with the surgery. Edit: That resin idea sounds good. Now that wouldn't gross me out.
  12. This topic is disgusting and hilarious at the same time...but I didn't know that they made statues with anal openings. Are we talking about actual anal openings or do you just mean that the cache is under a tail or under a dress? If it's the first choice, I'm heading down to Central Park to see if I can find any.
  13. Cool, a kayak! Nice present, I'm jealous. I did a little research on them a few months ago (I wanted one too)...I think the ten-footers are for calm, protected waters. So don't go out on a choppy lake and capsize! That's all I know. Good luck, have fun!
  14. Paperless caching means that you have a GPS unit that can display cache pages. The Garmin Oregon, Garmin Colorado, and Delorme PN-40 can all do this. Or you can buy a PDA to load the cache pages onto. It saves you from carrying around reams of paper. I think some other things might be paperless too...iPhones or some such? I'm sure someone else could tell you better.
  15. Make a pocket query and download that. It lets you download up to 500 caches at once.
  16. I just got my coins today. They look awesome! I think my favorite is the silver. I don't know if I want to take the chance of ruining this coin by drilling a hole through it... One observation I had (and please forgive me if I get my terms wrong, I'm a noob with coins): it seems to me like my silver coin is hard enamel, the blue color is flush with the edge of the coin. My bronze coin seems to be soft enamel. Does anyone else notice this or are my eyes bad? Anyway, thanks for this great coin. I love it!
  17. Your avatar would make a great coin as well! I was curious and just looked up the name to find out what it is. Now I've got another movie on my watchlist ;-) I love folklore stories and did'nt here about these Japanese tree spirits yet.Hmm, that sounds like a good idea...like a shaped coin or something? But since I know nothing of coin making or if I could even use an image from a movie on a coin I'll just leave that idea for someone else! And as for Princess Mononoke, it's an excellent movie. I found it a bit strange at first but it quickly grew on me.
  18. Yes! Got my book today. It looks like the post office bashed it up a little bit, but in spite of this the book seems durable. It's also small and lightweight. I flipped through it a little bit and it looks like it has some very good info. Thanks again!
  19. To follow up what Mushtang said, if you are unsure of what to do and you're not getting any help from your teacher you can try going to your school's writing center. All the colleges I went to had one; they are quite helpful when you are stuck. Or on the off chance your school doesn't have this, maybe you can find an English tutor that can help with references, etc.
  20. Well it looks like the people in MO and NC got it. I'm still waiting here too. Maybe it will be a few more days. This is some seriously slow snail mail.
  21. Oh! Another nice coin. Birds are cool. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a couple of these.
  22. I use a Real Adventurer coin simply because caching is a bit of an adventure! (And because I love Indiana Jones!)
  23. Nice design! I definitely see the seahorse and the dolphin. I feel like I'm blind because I can't see the whale or the seal. What I do see is a pokeball and a starmie on the baby.
  24. That would be a tremendous improvement over that annoying female voice my friend has on his Nuvi.
