  1. For keeping moving, interesting and new. The changes I have seen in last eight months have been nothing short of remarkable considering your resources. Your ingenuity and dedication are obvious in every aspect of the site. Thanks Jeremy!!! [This message was edited by Ranz on March 08, 2002 at 09:42 PM.]
  2. quote:Originally posted by Crusso: Only one complaint though... I hate these new pages in the forum. Liked it much better when I could scroll through the entire thread instead of next page/previous page. Jeremy... Maybe that could be an individual option like on the Geocache site where we can list all logs on a single page? I have to agree, they take some getting used to. But I can see the logic. If we have already read much of a long thread we can easily pop to the end to view whats been posted since the last visit. It's a pain now but I think it's designed to save bandwidth, both ours and the site's. Happy Caching;
  3. Thanks Markwell, You have expressed my sentiments exactly. I am sure they are also reflective of many other cachers. And while we are on the subject, You have also enriched my Geocaching experience in the eight months I have been 'On board' and I am looking forward to continuing a long and interesting 'Caching' relationship in the future.

  5. There is a patch you can download from the Delorme Website that adds the additional funtionality for the Magellan units. I have been able to get all features to work on both my MeriGold and my 315. I got mine in late January. Having a major upgrade so soon after the 3.0 release is a real pain in the A** (butt). I really want to know what features would prompt such an update and I darn sure hope recent buyers will get an EXTRA discount.
  6. quote:If I don't want the logo to mean anything, I should give it no meaning. The logo doesn't say anything at all if we don't give it anything to say. The more emphasis we place on this the more meaning it will have. I say we make it a non-issue, because any _additional_ meaning we give it will serve to divide the players in a way that nobody wants. Exactly. Whether Jeremy decides to remove it or not we should make this a none issue. I am here because it's a hobby I love and (when I'm not caching) I can meet with great people every day that share the same interest. I have an image in my head of every regular forum user. That image is based on their posts. It's a reprasentation of their personality in my mind. It has nothing to do with what is listed under their username. There are some really great people on this site. My opinion of them is not going to change just because a policy changed.
  7. I don't remember the link but I downloaded it and it works very well. Converts Deg.Min.Sec, Deg.Min.mmmxxxxx, and Decimal Degrees. If you can't find it and are interested, I can post a link to my web area.
  8. I'd vote for automatic as well. Just make it something like 'Last Monitored On:'. It would not have to say anything about what was changed or what was added to the page. Just that they were there.

  10. This is just a thought. Would it be a good idea to put a date mark on the cache page that indecates when the owner was last on the page? Then we would at least know it is getting attention. If the date indecates that the owner has not accessed the page since well before some of the log postings, and the postings show a possible problem, we would have a good indecator of a cache that needs someone else's attention.

  12. Some of the posts are even dated in the future. Will the most recent posts align themselves for will just the new stuff be correct? The format will take some getting used to but I LIKE it!!
