  1. Ditto here. The other night I was navigating to the solved coordinates of a multi. As I parked it said I was appx 124 metres from the cache which was what I was expecting based on the map location I had looked at earlier. As I started walking I hit the arrow button and was informed I was appx 256 metres away which would be the posted coordinates. When I looked at the waypoint for the solved coordinates it was showing the posted coordinates. I was able to make the find based on the hint and knowing appx where it was. When I was logging my find on my desktop the corrected coordinates were showing there. Yesterday, similar problem. Navigating to a puzzle final based where the actual location was showing on the map. Driving navigation insisted taking me to the posted coordinates. When I checked the waypoint it was only showing the posted coordinates. When I switched to CGeo I got proper navigation to the solved coordinates. I restarted the app and restarted my phone and the posted coordinates are still not recorded in the app but are still recorded when I look at them on my desktop. Not all caches seem to be affected.
  2. My only concern with the reinstatement is that 3,080 people found the original while 2,943 found the tribute - and happy to do so. The experience of the 2,943 is ALMOST identical to the experience of the 3,080. Yet these people must return and duplicate their effort in order to claim the icon.

  4. Hi everyone - thanks for the interest in the coin - we have tweaked the order page and should be available to everyone.
  5. The new BC Geocaching Association coin is now on sale to the public. This is a slightly irregular-shaped coin - a stylized tree slice, large (2“) with a nice heft. The outside ring represents the bark and foliage of the Western Red Cedar, while the tree rings are textured into the metal. The maple leaves in the forefront of the front and back measure the seasons from spring, through summer, and into the fall on the different finishes. The tracking code is engraved on the whimsical "micro in the woods" bison tube. The back echoes the front and features a sculpted photo of an alpine mountain scene. This picture is of Drinnon Pass in Valhalla Provincial Park in the Selkirk Range of mountains in British Columbia Canada. The edge of the coin reads “We know a place - We’d like to share” “Come along - We’ll show you where”. "Spring" is antique gold finish "Summer" is antique bronze finish "Fall" is antique silver finish To order, visit our website at http://www.bcgeocaching.com/index.php?name=Coin_Sales where you can order and pay through Paypal. Shipping is expected in the later part of March, 2012 when the coins arrive from the mint.
  6. Travellers have an odd way of reappearing in strange and mysterious ways. At a 10 Years! event where I was sitting near the trackable table someone pointed out a nice coin. I said yes, they are nice, I had one just like it that went missing a year ago. Lo & behold it turned out to be the same one! It seems there were somewhere near 10 travellers dropped off at the event that had been missing. I never considered events to offer amnesty to traveller hoarders but it is great if they do!
